Guess I'm in the dark about some of that.
I think I like it that way.

No reason not to ride this, though. I still have the tracks.

Sounds nice. I really like some of those little offshoots up into the hills from PCH. Well, I guess there are quite a few now that I've started looking for them. I didn't realize just how much open road and trails are available without very many people using them. The coast has been awesome this summer. I had the opportunity to ride all the way through the CA coast into OR last month and it was, well, I can't find quick way to label it but if I use my 80's valley boy vernacular- it was totally awesome. Especially lately with the heat, the coast has been a sure thing for day/weekend rides that don't fry your brain in your helmet. We're pretty lucky.

You all are thinking too far south. This would be better. Been up here for almost two weeks and might not come home.

The wife is picking up my GS from Irv Seaver as we speak.... the crash bars should be in this week and I've already got the steel braided lines.....

When I get it all back together I would be totally into blitzing the Carrizo Plain. Haven't been out there in ages....

Pacific Star Winery about 20 miles north of Fort Bragg.

    http://www.pacificstarwinery.com/

Awesome place with great wines. The proprietor, Marcus is a cool guy and used to live in LBC. Left there about 10 years ago and never went back.

We left about two weeks ago and been camping up the coast all the way to Del Norte National Forest and Mill Creek. We're in Dillon Beach now between Bodega and Tomales Bay at a beach house for four days. Heading over to Napa this afternoon for dinner.
