The R1200 series TB sync almost never goes out, and the newer bikes rarely need a valve adjust.

Oh, and speaking of correct information, that much overused photo as an example of a burned up FD is BS too. The brake rotor overheated and caught the gaitor on fire. Not a FD failure that the haters like to claim.

How long before the accessories (seats, shields...) will be available?

I've heard rumors to the effect that outfits like Touratech get motorcycles in advance of public release in order to be able to design accessories. IF this is true, maybe contacting them would yield a little more info?

Having worked where we actually did get pre-release products to design parts for, the huge non-disclosure agreements would prevent anyone from answering.

I agree...Can anyone figure out what the tacked on 2 pieces of metal is going to the front fork? I know this is pre-production, but just trying to understand what it could be for? Is it disguising the telelever?

That was how BMW handled the F800/650GS. Wouldn't surprise me. But they would be fools to leak info on it less they jeapordize the deal.

It's not going to the fork. It's mounted to the lower edge of the radiator shroud, side pod, or whatever you want to call it. It also looks like it has some sort of sensor mounted as there appears to be a wire and a zip tie.

The dealer in Luxembourg told me das wasserboxer will not reach clients until 2014... Grosse disappointment, man.

It's taking extra time to design the thermostat strip. coolant overflow bottle and the three radiator caps.

The press intro of the upcomming WaterBoxer will be this comming November/ December/ time frame someplace warm.

I have a theory......
The GS will be a Wasser boxer but the GSA will remain as is for the near future, maybe this is what BMW hinted at when they said the air cooled motor would be around for some time yet.

If this is the case it sorta implies that the new Water Works motor will add weight. As the GSA is already fairly plump the extra weight is most likely not a benefit even with more horses.

I'd like more info as I'm keen to own a GSA , I sorta think that with 130 ponies I'd ditch two bikes and replace with just one.

Good theory other than the pictures of the new bike all have a big tank and spoked wheels. Suggests to me that it's a GSA that they are doing the testing on. Could be the GS is staying aircooled right enough but I would doubt it.

Didn't they come out with the 1150GSA and the 1200GSA one year after the normal ones? I think his theory is founded.
