My niece, who lives in Jerusalem says"Yeah, those guys are very cool. They are all ex-KGB officers, they really have no rules, just get to use guns as needed etc."

I doubt if they are ex KGB, a little young, for that, but they certainly belong to a vary squared away elite unit. I would love to learn more about these guys.

I would have thought it easier to operate a weapon (at least while on a moving bike) with the left hand :asta

Gah. We're starting to see a bit of that paramilitary nonsense around these parts (and it is nonsense in this area; I grant that Israel has different security needs.)

What? Don't they know motorcycle police are supposed to wear mirrored shades, horse riding pants, huge goofy equestrian boots and a shirt unbuttoned at the top to show one's 70s chest hair mane?

Basically, if you don't look like a modern day cowboy, you're a chump. Sorry Jews. :D

M-16s!? I thought a handful of nuts and bolts tossed over the shoulder was enough. Time to upgrade!

In 1991, The Soviet Union after years of prohibition finally allowed Jews to emigrate resulting in a huge influx of Russian Jews into Israel. They have, in 20 years, become a vibrant part of the economy.

  17. Just a guess, but I figure they wanted a high velocity rifle round instead of a pistol round. I think they're both great for different things and a blast to shoot :thumb

Great photo! The reason for the M4 is the Uzzi is a 9MM pistol round which is fine for CQB (Close Quarter Combat). The M4 uses 223 rifle round which has a much greater velosity and range. The 11 in barrel and collapsable stock makes this weapon a perfect mix between CQB and medium range weapon. Zero'd at 50 yards it is poit of aim point of impact from basically 25 yrds at 100 yds. Much faster round and more energy than the 9MM.
