Yes. Well.... On the bike in the thread you posted, they ended up fabbing a beak extension out of sticks and duct tape because the beak didn't protect them well enough. There are people who have deleted the hugger and kept the stock beak though, and while they say it's definitely dirtier, it's not too bad.

If you do choose that route though, make sure you put on the rear part to protect the radiator. You can cut down the one from a F650GS Dakar, and use that. With any of these options, a radiator guard is also a must.

CaseJeep, no, that isn't the one I have. And after seeing LukasM's picture, it's definitely too short! Go with one like LostRider has, or the one Bartron and I used, which is from a KTM 690.

Lost Rider, that would be great. any help, or beer, is always greatly appreciated. :freaky

Im going to Asia for 3 weeks starting next Friday, so all work will have to go on hold. but by them im hopping on having the breaks and fender done. that is if my sponsor, SoloMotoParts.com, can get me the parts before i leave :thumb

i do plan on riding this thing everywhere, once its done.

+1 ... the supermoto fender is made for a 17" front wheel. It is NOT safe on a 21" wheel if you plan on riding offroad at all, rocks and crap will go right into your lights and windshield and face. Go get one of the KTM 690 Enduro fenders and be done with it. See Finn's StormTrooper F800 build - he's using the same one. Looks good, functions well.

Actually, Bartron and I are the ones using the KTM 690 fender. Finn is using the Acerbis Universal Supermoto fender.

    The color! :D

That'll change as soon as I'm back in the States, but... Really, no. I love it. It completely changed the look of the bike, and it just performs. IMO the bike should have come with something like this stock.

It comes in black or orange. I chose black. But when I'm back home I'm going to paint it green to match the rest of the bike. BIG plans for the bike once I'm home. :evil

Did you decide to go this route for the lights? I just replaced my halogens with some DDM HID's. Work great and are BRIGHT + fit into the stock housing. That said the reflector is horrible. Just sucks. Since the DDM's were only $60-75 shipped and use H7 bulbs I'm thinking a set of ordering set of halogen's and modding them to accept the h7 from the BMW. $300 for a good reflector would be nice if it works. Also kinda like the dual headlight look.

    hmmm....

Bike looks good so far though I think you could get a better front fender too.

I think i will stay with the 2 light style. but i think ill put up two 6inch lights, but ill have to see if that might be too big.

Yep. two round lights is what I am hoping to stay with. There has got to be a better reflector option out there than the stock one. I like the 2 light look.

Looking forward to seeing the results. Right now I'm leaning toward the fuego lights but havn't done any measurements. Looks like it would be pretty easy to fab up a bracket out of flat bar or alum brackets. They have one on their site that also might work as a starting point.

YEP. It's like making music. Everything ends up being borrowed and shared in the name of inspiration. For instance Case, I love the look and function of this fender mod so I'm planning to rip you off along with everyone else that's done it. I just need to make sure it all works on your bike first.

I've been admiring your bike from a far for some time now Lost Rider!

started to put on the brake lines today. i didnt get them 100% done but im close.

now that i have the lines in hand and on the bike there are a few things i would do differently. but i will let you know the full list after the install is complete.

so let me go though what i did.

first of all you will need this cool tool.

    <a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/68113294@N06/6259346133/" title="2011-10-18_17-43-06_637 by casejeep, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm7.static.flickr.com/6172/6259346133_3572f2e825.jpg" width="500" height="375" alt="2011-10-18_17-43-06_637"></a>

    then you unscrew this:

    <a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/68113294@N06/6259875196/" title="2011-10-18_17-43-13_808 by casejeep, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm7.static.flickr.com/6037/6259875196_710ec5e24a.jpg" width="500" height="375" alt="2011-10-18_17-43-13_808"></a>

You can bleed the line like such:

    <a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/68113294@N06/6259876544/" title="2011-10-18_17-46-41_343 by casejeep, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm7.static.flickr.com/6211/6259876544_5ddcb11764.jpg" width="500" height="375" alt="2011-10-18_17-46-41_343"></a>

    or just unbolt the line.

i then unbolted all the components of the brakelines.

    <a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/68113294@N06/6259877030/" title="2011-10-18_17-53-29_352 by casejeep, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm7.static.flickr.com/6109/6259877030_7e13290539.jpg" width="500" height="375" alt="2011-10-18_17-53-29_352"></a>

    <a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/68113294@N06/6259877442/" title="2011-10-18_17-53-52_498 by casejeep, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm7.static.flickr.com/6170/6259877442_fe2d9a5a58.jpg" width="375" height="500" alt="2011-10-18_17-53-52_498"></a>

    <a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/68113294@N06/6259878360/" title="2011-10-18_18-00-05_677 by casejeep, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm7.static.flickr.com/6211/6259878360_c175f64bc5.jpg" width="500" height="375" alt="2011-10-18_18-00-05_677"></a>

and then it should look like this:

    <a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/68113294@N06/6259877940/" title="2011-10-18_18-00-00_560 by casejeep, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm7.static.flickr.com/6218/6259877940_240c47ebcb.jpg" width="500" height="375" alt="2011-10-18_18-00-00_560"></a>

Now here is were the fun starts. and where i would make my fist change.

there is this little piece that sticks out from the caliper. and since i got my banjo fitting:
    <a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/68113294@N06/6259387439/" title="Type020 by casejeep, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm7.static.flickr.com/6036/6259387439_e55a689987_m.jpg" width="200" height="73" alt="Type020"></a>

and on the left side that works great, but on the right side that little piece makes it so it wont fit. so if you are planning on doing this, get a strait banjo.

this is what im talking about.
    <a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/68113294@N06/6259350775/" title="2011-10-18_18-36-29_677 by casejeep, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm7.static.flickr.com/6101/6259350775_55edb72a54_z.jpg" width="640" height="480" alt="2011-10-18_18-36-29_677"></a>

and the only way we could make it fit was to cut it off.

    <a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/68113294@N06/6259879644/" title="2011-10-18_18-38-48_972 by casejeep, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm7.static.flickr.com/6180/6259879644_a35dbcc15d_z.jpg" width="640" height="480" alt="2011-10-18_18-38-48_972"></a>

    after that it fit perfectly!

    <a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/68113294@N06/6259879952/" title="2011-10-18_18-40-03_669 by casejeep, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm7.static.flickr.com/6053/6259879952_d61935649b_z.jpg" width="640" height="480" alt="2011-10-18_18-40-03_669"></a>

    <a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/68113294@N06/6259352003/" title="2011-10-18_18-40-06_964 by casejeep, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm7.static.flickr.com/6177/6259352003_cd23cfb1df_z.jpg" width="640" height="480" alt="2011-10-18_18-40-06_964"></a>

    the left side was easy!

    <a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/68113294@N06/6259880538/" title="2011-10-18_19-15-26_109 by casejeep, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm7.static.flickr.com/6240/6259880538_1db1d8abeb_z.jpg" width="640" height="480" alt="2011-10-18_19-15-26_109"></a>

and i just ran the ABS censer up along the brake line.

    <a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/68113294@N06/6259881756/" title="2011-10-18_21-39-41_368 by casejeep, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm7.static.flickr.com/6161/6259881756_f9ddf5ed6c_z.jpg" width="640" height="480" alt="2011-10-18_21-39-41_368"></a>

    <a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/68113294@N06/6259357821/" title="2011-10-18_21-45-13_174 by casejeep, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm7.static.flickr.com/6104/6259357821_5f3281b6e3_z.jpg" width="640" height="480" alt="2011-10-18_21-45-13_174"></a>

now for the tricky part. placing the T-fitting, i tried 5 or 6 different ways of putting it in:

but until i come up with a better way of doing it this is what it looks like.

    <a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/68113294@N06/6259352629/" title="2011-10-18_19-15-38_860 by casejeep, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm7.static.flickr.com/6050/6259352629_b6083558ec_z.jpg" width="640" height="480" alt="2011-10-18_19-15-38_860"></a>

    <a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/68113294@N06/6259882506/" title="2011-10-18_21-39-59_226 by casejeep, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm7.static.flickr.com/6217/6259882506_ea75ef52fb_z.jpg" width="640" height="480" alt="2011-10-18_21-39-59_226"></a>

    <a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/68113294@N06/6259353753/" title="2011-10-18_21-39-48_644 by casejeep, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm7.static.flickr.com/6179/6259353753_0d1e03058c_z.jpg" width="640" height="480" alt="2011-10-18_21-39-48_644"></a>

the last banjo fitting is wrong on my lines, i got a strait one when it needs to be 90 or 45 angle.

    <a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/68113294@N06/6259354615/" title="2011-10-18_21-40-07_630 by casejeep, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm7.static.flickr.com/6224/6259354615_77735489ec_z.jpg" width="640" height="480" alt="2011-10-18_21-40-07_630"></a>

its being pulled alittle but im sure its safe.

    <a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/68113294@N06/6259884554/" title="2011-10-18_21-44-45_485 by casejeep, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm7.static.flickr.com/6171/6259884554_b9c30e680c_z.jpg" width="640" height="480" alt="2011-10-18_21-44-45_485"></a>

    <a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/68113294@N06/6259355405/" title="2011-10-18_21-44-34_735 by casejeep, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm7.static.flickr.com/6050/6259355405_9a56305d69_z.jpg" width="480" height="640" alt="2011-10-18_21-44-34_735"></a>

i finished it off with some easy fixings!

    <a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/68113294@N06/6259885278/" title="2011-10-18_21-45-00_943 by casejeep, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm7.static.flickr.com/6098/6259885278_a030b6042e_z.jpg" width="640" height="480" alt="2011-10-18_21-45-00_943"></a>

i plan on getting the right guides but for not this works.
