15 Chicks... PNW Ladies Ride 2013

Nacho Claws and I took a side ride down to Badger Lake.



The wind was cold coming off of the water but we got in anyway!



The temps climbed as we descended in to the valley. We stopped at the Little Badger Creek to cool of again. Got off my bike to walk to the water and I almost stepped on a big snake. Found some sweet tasty road snacks too!





Got to Tygh Valley and found everyone relaxing in camp. It was time for an ice cold beer and a big fat steak! :dg
Later in to the evening there was much more of this and Leenpockets and I decided to grab fresh drinks and head over to the other side of the camp to check out the live band. We got there looked around and saw only men? :huh
Turns out that we had crashed the Christian men's fellowship gathering party. Sorry guys! Feeling kinda awkward we rushed toward the nearest bathroom to finish our beers and giggle. Back to our designated rowdy moto girls area some one came with the next really great idea of the night, which was to add Fireball whiskey to the cider. Good stuff! NoPo Chicken showed up to hangout for the night too!

Fireball story..?

It was pretty quiet in comparison along Barlow Creek at the guys camp. Well except for those damn tree roots that were determined to trip everyone who was in the area, but that's another story...

Shelly refused all Angry Ball offers. There was not a full disclosure of "The" fireball story but I have a sneaky suspicion that the stuff might make her hurl.

Like usual I slept under the stars and had strategically placed my sleeping bag in a spot that would still be shaded at the first mornings light. I could hear the others unzipping their tents and chatting by the time I had decided to crawl out of my bag. Thank goodness BumpABump shared her really tasty coffee with me because for that hangover my chintzy Starbucks instant packets just were not going to do.

I even got to take a shower and for once started a day of riding clean! Since it was already getting hot I also drenched my clothes too!



Beware trashy women can be found at camp sites.



A few gals went on an ice run and we got camp all packed up. We split off in to two groups some of us stopped for gas and maple bars in Tygh Valley and some went down to Wamic. I was having such a super fun time riding through the woods on the Barlow road/trail that I forgot to stop for very many pix. Here is the few that I got.

We crossed the 26 and Crash Clay lead us the dirty way round to the next camp on Timothy Lake.




At the lake it was time for a cold beer and cold swim!

It was our last night camping together and we were at Timothy Lake. The boat dock was close we walked down and a few of us jumped in for a swim and some dipped their toes in to cool off! A guy was getting his "party barge" ready for a cruise so we even had music to listen to while we hung out.

There was plenty of day light left so I got dried off and suited up again for another side ride up to High Rocks.

Looking south at Mt Jefferson from a hard 90 degree turn towards the top. I was told of this gnarly turn and was kind of worried about going higher. :eek1



After scouting out the road past the turn I got back on and powered on up to the top. Great view of Mt Hood!




And found another pretty flower patch!
