Seb jumps back behind the wheel of the lil' Citröen after 12 months off... straight back to the top of the shakedown timecharts... :rofl

Why does everyone else feel like they have been racing for 2nd place the best part of a decade...? :lol3

Stage was 3.5km - 2min.
Kind of like a WTC lap up the hill.

Let's wait and see if he still has the stamina.

I bet it will crush the other Seb if he discovers he's still number two. :rofl

It's true... was only a 3.5 km warm up/shake down...

but he was 1.1 seconds quicker than the "eternal #2" (other seb) :huh

so Orgy better hope that Seb #1 doesn't have the stamina and routine after his lay off... becuase that pace difference over a full 20 km stage would work out to be about a 6.5 second whooping... :rofl

So is there some reason why they decide that the drivers are not getting split times anymore during the stage. :huh I can only guess it is to make the drivers drive 100% and have to worry that you will be beaten if you don't.
Also Loeb retired at the end of the 2012 season but raced a select few WRC rallys in 2013 and 2014.

There's also some brinksmanship regarding stage finish times and start order IIRC, by keeping the split times out of cockpit is an attempt to halt that, as well as the reason you stated, to make the drivers go hard, and deliver for the fans.

Sweden was one of the most exciting WRC events in my memory. I was really pulling for Hyundai to win their first event, that would be cool. Or at least VW's #3 driver. Oh well, until next time front runners have major issues.

I just bought a ticket to Guadalajara, flying in on March 6th to check out new smaller cars in person :clap

It's easy. Ticket to Guadalajara $250. Car rental $20 a day. Hotel $40 a day. No excuses 😁

We were few turns past the accident site and did not see it.http://www.wrc.com/en/wrc/news/march/tanak-interview/page/2259--12-12-.html

It's amazing how quickly the got out of the car.

Overall great day today. Tired from what seems like 10+ miles of hiking on steep hills but we got to watch in some great spots. Some pics will come later. Overall, first 5 are clearly faster looking than anyone else, with Ogier taking super neat and perfect lines. Andreas Mikkelsen is by far the most flamboyant driver, getting super sideways in every corner. Hyundai looks really quick. Newer smaller cars don't seem as quick and they were 3 years ago.
