Not really a thumper because it's a smoker but I thought they were nice. Supposed to be in the US in the next few months. Anyone in Europe seen one? Looks like it could be an awesome single track bike for those of us who aren't racing. :ear

Is it April fools day already?

I don't believe we'll ever see another 2 stroke that's over 50CC's EVER be street legal in the USA (due to the EPA) ever again.
...and now is when I'm sure someone will chime in that a 2013 St. legal 2-stroke already exists that I've never heard of.:ear:huh

I like the concept, now how about something with a real tank. (at least 4 gallons, 5 for 400CC on up)

Well I know here plating it would be no problem with all the lights, I know several people with plates on two strokes. I would imagine some states it wouldn't fly.

Looks like 2 stroke version of the Freeride 350

    Nice!

We'll see if it actually shows up in N America, street legal.

Trials bikes are set up different.
They have a small flat chamber further back before the muffler.
Its probably right behind the side cover.

In the manufacturer info it said it took pre-mix at 2%? Any street legal 2 stroke HAS to be oil-injected to meet emmissions, and to be feasible for street use as well. Plus like somebody else said a carbed 2 stroke will never meet U.S. EPA regs.
The reason the pipe looks funny for a 2 stroke is the pipe tuning's designed for more low end than peak power.

All the trials bikes have expantion chambers under the seat area so it doesnt get smashed on stuff.

Ever rode a two-stroke without an expansion chamber? They lose the hit but are really torquey. At 204lbs, I'm thinking it might be a great single track bike for a slow guy like myself. :lol3

Just found out no turn signals in the US, figures. :cry

Of course I didn't expect it to be 50 state legal, but turn signals here make it pretty much good to go even with an off road title.

This might even be a better version. I saw this over on an Aussie forum and thought someone close to Gas Gas might know more ??

    :D

Thats why I was wondering about the pre-mix description from Sherco.....it sounded just like any other off-road mx 2 stroke (cr/yz/kx/rm etc.) that we've had here for sale in the past. Without blinkers it sounds like it'll be strictly off-road for the U.S.

I was thinking more alomg the lines of all the guys who've been talking freeride, it's that type of bike with a two stroke, not an enduro race bike like the regular two strokes will be.

The 2 stroke 250 and 300 enduro bikes are supposed to be here sometime in the spring. Don't really know much else.
