Here are our intrepid travellers in the Flett Tunnel, a few kms NW of Sunshine, Ontario.
It appears they've made it to Sioux Lookout tonight.

Hey Ted! im following your SPOT. Were the logging roads #33/34/35 on your route today? I see you headed north into the heart of Gaspe by route 299. Was it too difficult? or just the road were shut down?

Hey y'all!!!! Guess we should have followed teds track out of silver dollar. Stayed on the rail bed and got to a wash out maybe 10k out of silver dollar. We were told about it at the gas station there. So once we passed it we thought we were golden. Uh....no. We hit a major wash out that took nearly 3 hours to get the overloaded ST and KLR up and over. We had a pulley system but no trees!!:huh. So mike came up with a lever system which involved a young birch tree and a 2 foot hole!!!! We did this in a downpour so were camped at a hotel drying out tonight. It's just beautiful here. Met lots of nice people as my luggage rack snapped in Graham. It's currently strapped together. Hoping to get near Kenora tomorrow intend back in the states on wednesday:cry. We had a true ADV rider day.!!!

Too bad the rack had to snap now...I have a welding machine in the garage.

If you are heading down to Dryden, I have a friend that can repair it for you?

    EDIT: PM sent.

Evil, you really should have come :nod

Awesome roads today through the Chic Choc mountains and some stellar coastal roads. I've got a new d908 waiting for me at Fabsas the Mefo SE didn't even come close to living up to its reputation. Accidentally erased the next two days gps files so have to sort that out tonight.

We're both pretty beat as we've covering some serious mileage, looking forward to a few less aggressive days

    The hospitality was much appreciated.

Got off the ferry, dark and raining like heck. Every motel was sold out in Baie Comeau....long wet ride to the next town where we got the last room. 100 km of misery, but safe and warm now :thumb

Narf I'm one year to late here but still very nice! Think you made the right choice with your bike for this trip, nothing better than a KTM Adv to make this!:clap

    Hi Ted,
Pretty nice trip and I remember this area was really cool to visit (even if I was mainly on road)

That's why I love to build a custom map with the track before leaving

    Have a nice trip
