What's the difference between a new Harley owner coming out of a dealership in a fresh "pirate costume and a newborn squid in his colour matched "power ranger" suit?

The length of the parking lot?

and cruisers either prefer no gear or the "pirate" look.

When this was originally posted (a very long time ago) it was reported that some non riding n00b that worked at the shop had Armorall’d the tires to make them shiny... Not knowing that that was a bad thing. :deal

This video gives new meaning to 205.

Squids are not the ones that wear gear silly. That is why they are called squids. Beer and bacon sammiches for everyone CHOP CHOP.

These were all new to me.:rofl

Lessons learned: Don't buy a sport bike until you have LOTS of time on slow bikes, and don't do stupid shit like pull wheelies to show off to your buddies, especially when there is NO runout available for said stupid shit.

I don't know why I find people crashing bikes, with minor injuries, because they are showing off and being stupid in general, so amusing.:lol3

I DO NOT enjoy the near fatal/fatal ones though, especially if it's a passenger trusting enough to get on the back of a bike with a dipshit :puke1

I get zero joy out of seeing bad crashes- any vehicle, anywhere. I personally have been hurt BADLY more than few times so if I happen to see a crash vid, I tend to FEEL it in my bones, or deeply. watching that shit makes me cringe. I certainly do not seek these kinds of vids out.

I never have been one to get a laff from another's pain anyway.

I only feel for the ones who are minding their own business or are out for a casual ride (if there is such a thing!?) and bad luck befalls them.
...these other idiots doing stupid shit = :rofl:rofl:rofl:roflThey asked for it.

I thought it was because they'd go fast in a straight line and slow to a crawl to turn (like a squid).

squid = squirrelly kid.

he's nuts. Unpredictable. usually too dumb to wear any more gear than a helmet, but just 'coz he's got a power ranger suit on doesn't mean he's not a squid.

Be careful out there!

I saw a lady in an SUV putting on her make up while driving in heavy traffic yesterday. A squid in a cage?

squids have a braincase (hard shell) that protects their brains. Otherwise, all their other soft parts are squishy and vulnerable. This is true of both the sea creature and the biker.

The first guy did not do anything that was obviously wrong. The second guy rode a helluva wheelie, but the tire bit too hard on the stop, converting his victory into a highside. There but for the grace of God ... .

I'm thinking he used the rear brake as a foot peg.
You can see his whole foot from the shin forward come down an inch or so rich right when the wheel locks up.
