Saw this on the signup sheet for the Texas National - <table width="100%"><tbody><tr valign="top"><td width="25%">CODY WEBB</td><td width="5%">CA</td><td width="5%">MON</td><td width="65%">MONTESA, COUNTRY HOME INSPECTION, KLIM, SIDI</td></tr></tbody></table> I see he signed up for Arizona as well...
Thats cool. I assume its because Montesa doesn't compete directly with KTM, where Beta, GG and Sherco do. I wonder what dealer is providing the bike(s) and support? Cody should do well after riding those heavy KTM's
Be great fun to watch Cody and Pat duke it out. I may be checking a section there, in which I'll get to see a whole lot in one section!
Other than the Trunkenpolz involvement in Penton, and Penton had a trials bike, it'd prove a distraction to them. They know there is already more supply than demand, and that supply is well educated by decades of trials experience at making excellent bikes. Besides, orange is, well, an ____ color
Awesome image! I'd go KTMktm any day. I agree, unfortunately the market wouldn't be there for them. I've had four KTM's since '04 and they have been the best and most reliable bikes I've ever had. (Sorry Japan) I hope the Spaniards have the same reputation!:)
It would be nice to see the boys at the top duke it out. I found out yesterday the wife of a friend of mine who died last week is delaying his funeral so far-flung family will have time to arrange to come to the funeral. Diagnosis to death with brain cancer - one month! Very sad for my friend Cancer and death are bad enough, but on top of that the funeral being scheduled the one weekend of the Texas national. Months of planning gone poof! I will of course go and see my friend off.
If ktm makes a trials rig. they will have to steal the 2t tech from Cagiva/Husq/BMW/GasGas, or pay a hefty sum for the design. I suggest that SWM picks up on this quick. I would also suggest that whoever picks up that motor, makes a 165 which will roll over a 200 2t ktm.
