Pivoting pegs any good on road trips?

I live on a dirt road and stand a bit over the rough stuff...and also in traffic to look over cages, get tailgaters to give me breathing room, and to make myself more visible when coming up on crossroads in small towns, etc. Nothing long term, but often enough that the narrow OE GS pegs bother my feet sometimes.

So I'm looking at wider pegs, like those found on the GSA. I've checked the reviews of Pivot Pegz and Fastway Pegs, but they all seem centered on serious off road stuff. Is there any advantage of using pivoting pegs on long road trips?

    TIA, Pete

Yup, they're comfortable. I've got Pivot Pegs on my GS, did a 13k mile trip this year- love 'em. Takes a few days to get used to them, but then they 'disappear', and function as advertised. I hope that helps.
