As much as I'd hoped I could attend this, it doesn't appear I will be able to this year. :cry

Would a possible chance to win $650 LED lights from Clearwater.com change anything? Plus many other goodies :D

I just got the news and a UPS tracking number...that is what they are giving for a door price. I'm so stoked... :clap John am I allowed to win anything...LOL

I believe so. See you there!

Sent from my phone, so this probably isn't what I meant to type.

You know me well enough folks..... I have some simple goals for RMAR....

    1. Keep it darn fun
    2. Offer a lot
    3. Keep it inexpensive
    4. Fund raise to keep our trails open

So, rebounding off of SgtMartys note a week ago....

For a $650 giveaway...... Would it seem fair to everyone to have a raffle to further support our "Keep the Trails Open" efforts?

What if we sold raffle tickets for $1 for these lights? A person can buy 1 ticket or they can buy 50.

Matter of fact, Modette, we could take the top three vendor prizes and have three winners out of the raffle.

Would this upset or offend anyone? I would nope not.....every dollar would go to Trail Maintenance and/or to Legislative efforts.

    John

    PS....yes Modette....you and I could buy tickets.

Big_John: I'm confused at your indecision. Your signature says it all: RMAR Boss!

You're the one doing the leg work; you're the one putting out the effort; you're the one (one of the one's) with the vision of statewide trail support. I can't see that winning free swag in a raffle is any different than the odds of winning same swag from the pool of attendees. I say "Go for it!"

[Ummm, just one little detail, tho...a portion of the raffle proceeds should be set aside to offset my moving expenses to the beautiful state of CO :deal since I'm pretty sure I'll fall in love with the trails you guys ride.] OK, carry on.

It's okay with me if we set a few top prizes to the side. Lets see what rolls in :D Bring two different raffle tickets, there is a condition to some of the TOP prizes (Companies want to get a picture of the winner holding the product). Which I can not blame them, last year we lacked at that...this year it will be done in the daylight hours still.

I'm trying hard to have everyone be a winner like last year...but do to the growth of the event that might not be feasible. Just have to wait and see what I can get.

Yep....you are right, but I am also sensitive to opinions and I value some input.

    You have given good feedback.

I hate to say it but I already ruined the Icon helmet I won from RMAR 2011.

I was in an accident about a month ago when I went to avoid a guy cutting into my lane. I highsided, landed flat on my back, and smacked the back of my head square onto the pavement. It had only been a couple weeks since I started to use the Icon after my garage was broken into and my AFX was stolen. Hasn't been a very eventful new year :1drink
