Probably just us 3, but maybe another 3 if we can surgically detach them from their wives.

So how does this work with 80+ riders gathered in one place? Looking forward to my first time there and wondering a bit about logistics.
    Thanks….

Well the best way to get it going I think will be ask for the least experienced riders to head out first then have all the rest wait a little bit then do a land rush start and race to the end. :D How does that sound?

Just kidding in the past I have taken a few minutes in the morning before we get going to do a little pre-ride talk encouraging "discretion" and "safety". At that time I suggest breaking in to smaller groups. However I have not had this large of a group for a ride before so I think I will probably contact some people in advance and discuss with them about possibly leading a group. Last year I lead a group of 15 if I remember correctly. Anyone interested in leading a group please speak up.

No… I do like the land rush idea! :rofl

With the route, is it too risky for clockwise and counter-clockwise at the same time? I would assume yes with narrow roads and such.

Ya I have given that a little thought. It might be doable on everything but the level B's. I am leaning more towards keeping everyone going the same direction just have some start in different locations to break up the the masses. I am still waiting to see if the river is going to come down enough to be able to use the ferry at Cassville before I post the route to try and avoid the problem I had last year of having to change it and re post.

How far down are you going to trophy?...say, top third? I need to know so I can decide if I need to take anyone out racing for the campground entrance.

I'm not telling just to get everyone to do there best there will be no settling to just trophy. In it to win it! :evil

Ok we better not be talking like this or we will scare off the nice people. We will ride respectfully.

While I do not like to lead, your don't know me from Adam, and I ride a pig of a Tiger, I am a skilled leader and will offer my services if needed. If I can get the route to import to a Garmin GPS I'll even preride prior to the event.

Odd Scott is everything he says, and more.

I'll happily be involved with the slow, the inept, and the old . . . I ride a KLR, afterall.

I don't mind leading, but I plan on taking my own sweet time this year and stop for pictures and the like. I'd thought about just doing it alone, but I could also lead without a problem. In our small group's haste last year we lost ShortBritches, and that was a little unnerving. Don't want to do that again.

I use Motion-X GPS to navigate, which works fine as long as you're not in the trees.
