Well, it actually started with two men & two bikes, and high spirits. With two weeks X'd off the work calendar, we spurred our ponies westward. No thought given to anything raining on our parade. Aaah....the best laid plans of mice & men.

I've wanted to ride the CDR for several years, but life kept getting in the way. Two weeks earlier, 10-Cup called me to see if I had any interest. Timing was perfect! This was my shot and I was All In. At departure, my 20 year old son stared me down and gave a loud proclamation: NEVER TAP-OUT

With prophetic resonation, it burned into my soul. Played over and over in my head like a stuck LP record, while slabbing across the hot Oklahoma plains. Positive encouragement or a bad omen....who could say?

Fill your popcorn and follow along, IF you want to see new vantage point of well worn trail. Nothing better to chase the mid-winter blues away.

I'm reminded of the immortal words of Chief Lone Waite to Outlaw Jose Wales: "endeavor to persevere!"

    Let's roll...

In, wait... September 2014? Are these just the previews or is this a trip into the future? I'm doing a big chunk of this trip in July, so does that mean I'm going before you? Either way, bring on the pics so I, I mean "we," can see what we're in for!
