Ok, the next tag is located between Poga, Roan Mountain, and Dennis Cove (the last tag). The little chapel is just downhill from the intersection of two gravel roads. Those roads are provided below in scrambled form:

    twnula tmaonuin rd.

    eohtan hbarnc rd.

    Good luck![IMG]

FYI, this new tag is a file picture from last summer. Don't think I changed bikes that quickly. :)

This one has been done before. I thought it looked familiar.

Even though I'm a heathen, I love little white churches. No time to grab the tag, but I'll definitely seek this place out in the future. :)

    Grabbed it!:evil

Out doing a little scouting for the Rendezvous today. I think I'm gonna have to trim some miles off the route. 235 miles of mixed terrain might be pushing it for some of the inmates:rofl

This church can be found off of Heaton Branch Rd, near the site of the 2013 Eastern Rendezvous. I'm gonna dig around for a file tag now. I might end up throwing a cheap one up if I can't find a decent file tag.

    NEW TAG......

I found out something I didn't know when researching this location found on a mountain top in Greene County. It used to be a ski destination in the 70's, and not a home of pillaging Scandanavian warriors.

Ooh, I've wanted to go up there for years! How's the road? Is it paved the whole way or does it turn to chip and seal or gravel? I can only imagine the views from up there this time of year.

New pavement until you reach the gravel. From that point its pretty well graded and is about 3-5 miles to the lookout. I had no problem getting there

Dunno if it's the same spot but I chased a tag on this game to an abandoned ski area a couple years back. Had some great fun riding up and down all the various mountain tops along the border. Stumbled upon a group of Masons at the top of one mountain obviously moving the Ark of the Covenant once again. :eek1 Met a guy with a basket of rattle snakes as big as my arm, and slid around a gravel corner to find a large bear standing in the middle of the road looking unhappy with me. :huh That whole thing was a great adventure.

That flagstone was part of an outdoor seating area and swimming pool right outside the lodge that used to be there...I remember going up there a few times while it was open for business. :gerg

Winter, early spring and fall are the best for views. Summer days are usually too hazy, though sunsets are nice...bring a chair. :D

Reckon he was hunting them snakes for a church service? :eek1

I picked up the tag just a few hundred yard up the hill last October.... but I did two tags that day, so it could have been the app tag.

either way, it's a great location and should be tagged every few month!

I didn't realize it had been tagged before....

Thanks for the compliment on the bike. It's been hard choosing between it and the KLR. I've considered selling the BMW, but it's just such a blast on the pavement compared to the KLR.

Anyways, I hope nobody needs help with this one. It's a great view from up top, and getting there can be fun from many directions.
