    Went this weekend.

    It was chilly.

The campground walk-in loop trees have been trimmed way back, the sites and parking spots re-numbered, the bar doesn't sell pitchers of beer any more (pints only) and the steakhouse is now a buffet. :bluduh

The rest of the park is still awesome, however. :thumb

Thanks man, sounds like I'm packing a few more pounds of food IN. Did you happen to see if the fire rings had grills on them?

There are grills on the new fire rings, I wouldn't want to depend on them to actually cook with as they are very high above the ground and not adjustable. You can only swing them in and out not up and down, at least the ones I saw a few weeks ago. Ok for fire roasting hot dogs I guess, not so good for charcoal BBQ ing

Bringing a small weber baby-q. Also bringing the 2 burner Coleman stove. So if someone needs to cook something or boil some water or whatever...

    Looks like site #126 ?

Anyone that knows the walk in loop will see how much the trees have been cut back.

I kinda missed sleeping in a tree cave.

But it was cool not hitting my head on branches :1drink

I'm back to debating on which bike to bring. The track bike I'm hoping will be gone tonight which will finance shocks for the pig. As long as I can balance the front wheel a bit better, then I might bring it.

However, if I go the little bike route, I'll bring the camper which means a full BBQ setup. I think the boss, baby, and mutts will come as well. Oh yeah, can we bring dogs to the campground there?

I liked it - never been there before, so I can't compare. Your guess is really close - I occupied #127

    I had #128 this past weekend Fri-Sun. :D

Those trees used to have long branches that protruded directly towards the center of the aisle between the opposing camp sites, made for more shade, quiet, and privacy.

It's still a great spot, I still look forward to the trees growing back a bit though.

Yeah, CO is still on the table (but looking slim) so I really want her to come as she's never been to DV. That and how silly is it to bring the Jeep, the full camper and comfort, for 1 dude with 1 bike? At least if she comes I can say I brought the whole family in using all that fuel. :)

The only sacrifice will be that one day of being out and about will be with the Jeep. The benefit to all you FFs is that you'll have a chase machine out there.

Luckily for RAZR, I'm organized and reserved a site quite a few weeks ago. I've invited quite a few other loose ends to stay in my site as well. Just need to figure out where all of the vehicles will go, so if you have a space open for a vehicle that will be great. :clap

We should have space for another vehicle too. Let me know if you still need it and I will send you the reservation info.
