I got mine a few years ago. I have about 30 old metalflake helmets in my collection, but didnt have the rebel flag, and I wanted one for my RTW trip.

I was in Tennessee & stopped to see my friend (I will call him Bill, because that is his name)
Anyhow, at his shop, he had both this one, & the damn yankee version.
He told me he had found them at a flea market for 5.00 each. :eek1
Both were like new. I asked him to sell me the rebel one for my trip. He didnt want to sell it.
So I offered him 150 for it. I REALLY wanted it! and it was perfect!
He was a bit shocked, but said no, because since I knew he paid 5.00 for it, he didnt want to sell it to me for so much more. I told him thats what Im offering, as its here, in my hand, fits good, and I didnt wanna dick around with buying some crap off ebay.
Finally he gave in, but said he didnt want me bitchin about the price later. hahaha

So Im still wearing it. I did send it off this year & had it relined at hellmuttliners.com. feels much better now

And everytime I see Bill, I say 'Theres that son of a bitch who charged me 150 for a 5 dollar helmet!'

    :lol3

Hi Doug! Max from Kiev again...
If You really need a sidecar just like the one you saw in Chernobyl, (OR MAYBE YOU NEED THAT VERY SPECIFIC CHERNOBYL SPECIMEN ONLY?) don`t be unadvised, of course you need no problem with law and with your health... The sidecar that you have been writing about is a "IZH Jupiter-2" "ИЖ Юпитер-2" 1965 standard sidecar (http://baraholka.onliner.by/viewtopic.php?t=2678266 ). It was a very popular bike in the former USSR territory and i want you understand you can easily buy one (The bike, with sidecar, with official passport of its registration, and without any radiation) (or just a sidecar only) approx for a 300$ today. Do not touch Chernobyl nuclear trash please...

    Max, I have to ask...

Is the reason you say this because of radiation worries or do the people around the area consider the area sacred? (out of respect for the dead or something like that)

I hope that side car doesn't take a 16" tire. Doug might fit one of my Duro tires which are allegedly in his garage...

Doug, my friend measure level of radiation, and, only if it normal, think about it.
