So, looks like that which we do not talk about has come to an end now. Time for the final Dakar broadcast this year on Eurosport 1!

its been fun but I can tell you it was much more fun riding a bike today instead of a office chair and keyboard..!!

things will be different for a few days...

Inspired is all I can say about that..

That's it, it's 00.10 hours here, they've shown the bikes so I'm out of here worn down by the incessant snooker!

Thanks again everyone, it's been a blast!

See you all in 50 weeks time :wave:wave:wave

Why does ASO's website suck so bad....it's their event, No? Is there a complete final listing of all racers in all classes? Cyril won bike class but who was 101st? Who was 12th in car class? Anyone.....anyone........:huh

    Darryl Curtis

Dakar is done and dusted besides all the ups and downs we had, Riaan showcased his amazing talent with a 13th overall winning his class. I knew from the start that he could do it. My crash was unfortunate, but I guess this is the nature of the Dakar ! Thanks so much to Broadlink, Grindrod Logistics, KTM, MTN, Leader Tread and Emperors Palace!

From Gilly (southern African team including Dave Reeve who broke his leg on SS12):

Dakar, done and dusted, podium is chaos, you are treated like cattle by police etc, and have to argue to get to your riders etc, guys need to know without the mechanics etc who put in the hard work, the wives who let them do it, etc there would be no Dakar. But we all know how hard it is to control things, but it was pretty soul destroying arguing with a non english speaking person to explain that you need to get through. Anyway, awesome experience, loved it, would turn around and do it again tomorrow once I have got my clothes and myself clean!!

To David, missed you here, you chop!!! Hope you are fit and well and on the mend, to Ingo what a star, Kit Kat (Riaan, you beauty you!!), Brett, awesome ride, Darryl, how you did it with your injury, I salute you, Sarel, gave everyone a big fright in the quad category, and the Toyota team, well done boys.

Charles, Jan, Onno thanks for putting up with me, and to Lisa, Emma and Jax, you guys are great. xxxxx
Oops and our go to fix it man, Glen, you are super duper!!

Sarel van Biljon, another stage win in the quads at Dakar for Sarel and South Africa. It has been an honor to be around him (
and I'm saying this as a two-wheeler nogal!) Google the word on his t-shirt if you have a minute.....Mooi so Sarel, jou bullet!!!!

Click on rankings. then look down where you expect results, and click on 'classifications of the day before' beside 'Stage in progress'

Once that page opens, pick your class for the deets.

Thank you. Yes, so very straight forward website formating here in 2013....or even 2003 :huh. So for example, Pyndon shows in bike class as finishing the 2013 Dakar as #46. I assume that's correct? And, yes, I followed Dakar in detail evey day here as Team F5 just as I have for years..... I was looking for 2009 overall lisitings a few days ago and good luck with that on dakar.com. Wikipedia and overall internet covers the ASO's "proprietery" information better.

Allright, so Eurosport 1 just wrapped up the 2013 Dakar and I'm sensing that it'll be another 50 weeks before I get to see Amarok commercials again.

It's been a blast, yet slightly taxing on my sleeping pattern and my SO who hasn't seen a lot of me these past two weeks. =)

So you all again next year! :freaky
