    my riding buddies are squids and they are on quads. "Man why you got jacket? its hot as fuck!" this was at the 29 palms old mining roads. I'm sure you guys are familiar with "sand pimples." You know those tiny rocks that get stuck in you skin and you gotta pop them like pimples? Thank god no one went down.

    The squids and my bike :D

    I'm not a good rider by any means, but that damn raptor was eating my dust all day.

    I love it when it snows at night. When it melts off in the morning you have great traction.

    Night before superbowl and wifey and I are talking about tomorrow.
    Wifey: Are you riding tomorrow?
    Me: Nah, HT bailed and no one is up for a ride on Superbowl Sunday'
    Wifey: Oh great, we can sleep in, go to breakfast and then shop for Superbowl snacks and hang out together.
    Me: Sounds great honey.

    Woke up 3:00am pitter patter pitter patter, its pouring in the high desert. Back to sleep smiling.
    Mind you that I have gone riding at least 8 out of the last 10 week ends, most two or three day excursions and now I have plans with the wifey tomorrow.
    Woke up 7:30 am, start coffee and make that awesome trip down the drive way for the paper. You know that smell, the desert after rain, still cloudy. I knew there was a reason I took the carb off my CR500AF and cleaned it yesterday. Fresh plug to.

    Back inside for coffee, guess who's standing there, wifey.
    Wifey: We're not going to breakfast are we?
    As I'm filling my Camel Back I'm thinking how inconsiderate can one be. I mean seriously, did she really have to ask that.

    Virgin washes and wet dirt with a screaming CR500. What a blast. Pictures to follow;

    I decided not to go up to our cabin in Landers this weekend to go to a Superbowl party instead. Before I left to the party I checked online to see what was up with the King of the Motos. Instead, all I found online were a ton of giddy messages from friends in the desert about the rain and epic conditions. I don't know what the hell I was thinking about not going up there this weekend. And I hate football. :cry
