When I was there I saw RV's there, both big and small. Also has a separate tent area.

For some reason that I don`t remember any more, I dismissed this when I first saw the post. It`s starting to sound pretty good now. I saw a reference to thinking about changing the date to Oct. It`s still on for 12 - 14 Sept? Informal and totally unofficial with no fees, just show up self supplied, hang out and ride?

Still on as posted in the first post in this thread.

Pay for your sleeping space or share the cost with someone.

you pay for your own food, fuel.

    Ride, eat, drink, sleep, repeat.

Perfect, thanks. Can`t make it for any Fri riding, but I`m in from that evening through mid Sunday. One on a DR650.

Anybody know if there`s any big even planned in Taylorsville that weekend that would fill up the campground? Though it`s usually plenty spacious, I passed through once when something (rodeo?) was going on across the highway from the park and the place was packed to the gills.

I stopped by a few weeks ago and asked the camp host..all is good. I will call the contact listed on the website again to triple check.

I too was up there when a rodeo was going on, and the camp host said there was plenty of room for us.

I will post the info after I call in the morning.

We have a rodeo on the 4th of July. There is a pancake breakfast put on by the firemen and a parade that goes down the main street. Usually they loop around and go thru twice :D.

I called the Camphost and we are good-to-go.

They have my name, a nice spot under the trees and next the river for us.

Put me down as a highly likely "maybe" on an R1200GS. Looks like I should spoon on my knobbies for the terrain given some of the pics. Anyone else from the SF region heading up, or is it just local folk?

    Gotcha in as a "maybe".

I not going to put knobbies on, just going to use my Heidenau K60's. Since I have had a 950 before and know what they are capabable of, I am not going to even try and keep up. So for me a nice fun day, away from work, meeting folks, seeing some great scenery and a few beverages.

Check out the profiles of the other folks to see where they might be coming in from and maybe shoot them a PM.

I added some links on the first post for those of you that might want to bring anybody with you but may not want to go riding with you. So this would give them some ideas for them to check some stuff out too. This area is so beautiful and as my parents have said when they came up to Plumas County the first time back in the 1950's...."This is God's Country"

    Thanks,
    Kurt
