    Okay, so there is another thread discussing what adult beverage helps you wind down at the end of a long ride but what about what gets you up and running? What strange brew gets your motor started for the next day in the saddle ? I usually start my day off with a cup of instant Folgers or (if I am feeling fancy) I bust out instant Starbucks brought to a slow simmer on my trusty Chinese mini stove and left black and strong the way nature intended (there's a joke in there somewhere)...

    If I don't have to go to work it's coffee and Baileys. If I have to work it's just coffee. Simple but effective.

    If I have to put more miles on that morning and I have a way to keep something cold or I am close to a store, chocolate milk.

    Otherwise, hot chocolate or a Chai tea.

    If I'm staying in a place, coffee.

    Don't like coffee if I have to put some miles on that morning. Winds ya up too much then a big let down. Plus, ya gotta stop to piss.

    Lemon Black or Green Tea, lot's of it. Several pee stops.

    :lol2::lol3::nod::lol3::lol2

    On a river trip, it's a different story. I like to start the morning off with a stout coffee and Bailys, then I'll mix in a few pipe hits and finally a couple of cold beers as I load the boats. It's all about buzz management.:lol3

    I start my day with about one and a half tall glasses of cold water. Pretty boring stuff, but it clears out all the goo, and since it's my ritual, kick starts my brain in the process.

    If I do drink too much the night before, I don't usually ride the next day. I can't get into the groove if my head is in a fog.
