Great pics. Sorry you got fogged in on top of Mt. Washington. That wind must have been something.

Here's what it's supposed to look like up there. It was a little misty for me as well.

I live in Los Angeles now, but I'm originally from Maine and this report has made me miss the scenery of Northern New England. The white mountains are just gorgeous. Hope you all have a great summer of fine riding weather!

    Nice ride, and report!

Last time I was in NH, I tried to go up Mt Washington . When we reached the base of the mountain you could see lightning striking the mountain as it was socked in a thundershower. Gate keeper said we could go on up. We decided to wait till it stopped raining.

About an hour later, now with the summit visible and not a cloud in the sky we attempted to ride up again. Got to the gate keeper and he said we couldn't go up, there were thundershowers in the area.:huh

Oh well, just another reason to take a ride.

How did you get your bike to the front of the vistors center? Did you just ask the summit staff or where you able to sneek this in under the cover of the fog?:evil When I went up last fall on my 250 there was a few hundred people or so on the summit.

Nice pictures by the way. Too bad you didn't have better weather up top. Here's what that spot looked like when I was up there.

Nice pics and write-up! Way to take a chance on the weather. It really worked out for you. The fog pictures ended up very cool, perhaps even better than a clear day. You really captured some nice scenery for all us inmates to enjoy. Thanks. :D

Nice! Glad I stumbled upon this. I have been going up to Mt Washington for the past 4 years to hike it. I would love to take a similar route on my way up there this summer. The highway route is terribly drawn out even in a cage. Any chance you have a track of your route?

I live about 3000 miles west of there but rode up to the top of Mt washington about 12 years ago. A guy told us about a glider service in a town just north of there. We went & flew a glider all around the mountain. Was a hoot. Wonder if it's still there? A really neat experience.
