BMW USA F650 & 800 prices are on the website...650 goes up to 8995, 800 goes up to 10995. 650 option prices were unchanged, 800 comfort package and anti theft went up.
The MSRP for the 800 was $10520.00 The price for comfort package was $545.00. Do not know the theft but thought it was around $300.
I paid $15K for my 800 back in September. YIKES....................... Sometimes you gotta just love Alaska!
Remember though that the prices listed in the original post are MSRP and don't include ABS or centerstand or heated grips or destination charge etc. etc. Most of the 800's in the lower48 will be selling for around $13K now so maybe your deal wasn't all that bad after all.
With all the options except center stand and theft mine came to 12,520.00 including destination charge $495.00. That does not include taxes.
The only price that means anything is the OTD price that includes destination, registration taxes, etc. THAT'S what you paid. Don't really care about the price increase myself, though. Already bought mine.
I'd suspect since he is from Seattle, perhaps Ride West. $10,400 is the MSRP ($10,405 actually) for an F650GS without factory alarm. Of course, the price increase will affect the bikes that arrived at dealerships after about the first week of the year. Discussions of "what did you pay?" can be rife with confusion. In some states dealers collect sales tax, not so in others (or maybe no sales tax is owed). Dealers may or may not be handling titling and registration. Some discount, some tag on added value to popular models. Hey, what oil do you guys use?
On the nose. RW in Seattle. $11,400 is true OTD, tax and title included. I got a $7 check back too for overpaying on state registration. No negotiating on price as this was back in late September, but I did get a coffee mug. G-
