Yes you'll get it cheaper . Bring the bearing it has name and numbers on it. Or it will be mesured. Bike part number won't help at a bearing supplier. Tell em sealed bearing

I dont have the exact price for the bearing you want (#3205) but seeing in the shop online fiche on here that they sell the others bearings for the rear wheel(#6205) for 29$ each US. I can have this bearing (#6205) for 3.50 Canadian...So Im pretty sure it can be found cheaper.

    This place:

    http://www.cbrbearing.com/

Has a large selection of high quality sealed bearings. They probably have the size you need. Take some measurements of it, or read the numbers on it, and give them a call.

    They've done right by me.

As a note: do ask who makes the bearings you're buying. There is a big difference between a quality ball bearing and a cheap one, and there's no way to tell by looking at them. Truth be told, price is usually a good indicator, presuming you're getting them from similar sources (industrial supply places).

I can have a 3205 bearing for around 30$ Canadian. Just called a bearing supplier.

google msc industrial supply and do a search on ball bearing, use the filter to select deep groove ball bearings, i used some of these to modify a set of cast wheels to my klr, worked great prices ran $4 to $8 depending on size. thay have a $25 minimum for me but i deal with them using purchase orders. credit card might be less.

Sounds about right for dealer, just bought one at £28 (GBP) from KTM dealer here in UK. I know that it will last though.

Good question ChrisC...I have a 2003 640 Enduro with 20 000km and still on original bearing. I never regreased them and the bike saw a lot of water/sand/mud. No sign of wear at all on them.

    Hi there,

My bearing is also shot at about 5000 miles (8000 kms).

Anyway a friend of mine with an 2002 LC4 640 E got me a replacement bearing.

    INA Part# 3205 2RS

I don't have the price of this bearing but I did buy all 5 for about the same price that KTM wanted for their equivalent to the bearing above.

Here's the disclaimer: I have not put this bearing in my bike yet but I guess you could check the dimensions for proper sizing.

Good luck, I hope this helps.

    pressure washer? :dunno

Anyways, that price sounds high, in my uninformed opinion. Oddly the 2004/5 microfiche online don't have the wheel assembly :scratch so here is a 2003 (which is probably very similar or the same):

Which part is it? Doesn't really matter because the price you quoted is about half the price of the entire hub...

    tem #: 58410010044
    REAR WHEEL HUB DAMPED CPL.2001
    Quanity On Diagram: 1
    Cost Each: $192.57

    :huh

I can't imagine that the 2004- hub is so bad assss that one bearing alone is half the cost of the entire -2003 hub. But there I go guessing again... :lol3

I get these from the local bearing supply place and replace them when they get wonky. They are about $30 and are good enough. Take the spent one out and take it with you to the bearing guy. He'll fix you up and you'll have a new buddy when it's time for wheel bearings.

My big bearing only went because the bike has been used in the desert a couple of times plus jet washing. New one I fully expect to last for a very long time, should do if you look after the cush drive and don't jet wash it.

Mines a 2001 enduro, do the '05 adventures not have them then ?

    :doh

    Considering this (2003 model):

    1 58410001544 REAR WHEEL CPL. DAMPED 2.5X18" $440.80
    2 58410010044 REAR WHEEL HUB DAMPED CPL.2001 $192.57

it doesn't seem like a good deal... :lol3

    so l found a replacement

the bearing is marked 6205 RSR not 2RS, 6205 2RS is a single ball bearing in the wheel but the one in the sprocket carrier is a double ball bearing but it has the same # 6205 but marked with RSR.
the bearing house said this should be # 5205 2RS which was $33 dollars including UPS shipping to my door tomorrow
l will have to keep my eye on it and see how it lasts

    FYI
Purchased from BDI part # EBC 5205 2RS
