I shot this video with the new GoPro H3 Black cam @1080P/60FPS, rendered with Sony Vegas Pro V12. I'm still working on the settings to get a good video without the file being too huge. The orignal video is super clear and vivid, unfortunately when rendered, it takes a big hit :cry

I'm rendering the second video at a lower bandwidth. The first video compiled out to a very large file (2.7G) :eek1

The vid looks awesome at the house. Did ya notice chip in the plastic lens protector? That's what I get for riding too close behind Elgato on his KTM 570 :D

    Great video! :clap

Watched the entire thing.. made me wish I was out riding.

Question: the rider that headed off on the ledge (the one that ran from right to left and was kind of sketch at one point) - did he find a way out the other end or did he end up having to back track?

Geek... he made it out. It's actually a hero line with a ledge to drop off at the end. He had done it once before RideFreak got there with the camera. The second time he went to do it, his rear wheel slid down the ledge and he stalled the bike. Had a little difficulty restarting (kick start) on the side of the ridge, but then rolled off the ledge!

Cool video Chris! You can really see the detail with the new camera....the tire tracks, cracks in the ground, knobbies turning, etc.
But, is it me or is the video less "fluid" than the old one? Either that or you might need a re-valve on your forks! :lol3

Thanks for taking the time! :thumb

Thanks, I haven't been using any kind of stabilization in these vids. I'm still trying to figure out the best settings.

nice video chris. seems like you're havin fun with the new camera.

its been beutiful spring weather up here. :lol3 Im startin to think that november and december are the best months to ride in colorado. hunting season is over for the most part, the temps are perfect, and we finally have some moisture in the soil(even if its frozen for 20 hours a day).

Great vid RF. even if you are able to render at higher res, how are you gonna get around the down sampling from Internet video upload provider?

Thanks Geo, I'm actually down converting to YT's max res. With this cam, I shoot at higher res (1080/60FPS) but rendering at 1080P/30FP which is supposed to be YTs max. Previous vids were shot at 760/60FPS and rendered (upconverted) to the same 1080/30. With the higher filming resolution there's allot more information (almost 2x) captured for the same amount of video, 11min = 2.5GB. The problem as I see it is how much of that "information" to use which relates to the quality settings at rendering time.

The one thing that the new resolution accomplishes and the primary reason for upgrading the cam is that when I stabilize the video it doesn't loose much clarity like it does in 760/60. 1080/30 isn't fast enough frame rate to get away with much stabilization but the 1080/60 does it nicely. These vids are only stabilized in a couple clips to try it out but that part of the deal works nicely. Now I need to come up with ideal rendering settings that fits the constraints for sharing on the web.
