This reminds me of an old joke.

How do you know when a drummer is knocking at your door? The knocking speeds up.

Our drummer used to slow down a little with every sip of beer. We cut him off the beer so he picked up whiskey.

They're a lot of fun, but you have to be a bit careful when you buy one. There are some real junkers out there that, as a store owner, I had to weed through until I found one that was good. The Savannah from the same folks as Recording King and Loar is the pretty decent one I finally settled on. Any of them will need a little set-up to really sound good, mainly the head tuned and the bridge set.

There's a few tunes my band does that we want that banjo twang on, but the chords are a pain on an actual banjo. Out comes the six string.

I play most watching TV....it is almost more important to me how they sound unplugged.....I do most of my playing watching TV with the family.

Yeah, I find "quiet playing" to be a big part of my practicing. I play an electric, unplugged often. More so than I play the acoustic.
