Sleepyheads? Nicomama and I will be up bright and early tomorrow to volunteer from 9:30 to 12:30p in the women's section. We'll be trying to recruit the girls off the back of the bike and onto their own :clap I'd be down for lunch.

The snake oil section was a little thin alright. I didn't see the Alumaweld guy, or the Plastic Repair kits either. With all of that gone missing it was a relief to see the Beugler Pinstriper booth.

Where/when are you people having lunch on Saturday?

I was just there at show and that new baby tiger is awesome...very light...and love that 21 inch front wheel on XC.
over all the show was much smaller than in the past, fewer vendors and a few mfg missing (listening KTM?)...Husqvarna? seemed geared to street more so than in past...
though Touratech and Twisted Throttle had good displays...(got the wish books)...even a smaller show is better than NO show..:clap

The Sidi's I saw were pretty much the website prices... Not a huge break. The only big item I bought was another Arai helmet as they gave my old helmet $ for credit and they were giving 25% off helmets at the show. (The Service Pavilion /Arai booth).
Irv Seaver was selling some limited size Sidi's for about $50.00 off...

Damn!!! I missed that. I stopped by the Arai area and tried on an XD to make sure the sizes hadn't changed since I last bought mine. I was looking to get a new one but didn't see any new ones for sale. :cry

I escaped for under $100. Got a MCN subscription, some Roc straps, and some silicon sticks-to-itself repair tape.

Most interesting bike I saw - the new Triumph 800XC. Looks like a nice ADV platform (except for the 17" rear wheel :huh). Pretty much a less expensive BMW 800

It seems like every year I get a set at the show too! Those things are so awesome, they "disappear" every year! This year our rottweiler pup showed me how much he loves 'em too... chew-chew-shred-shred!

you guys missed the chamois guy....he was there today and i got pics to prove it.....:rofl

yep, fantastic deals on the sidi boots at extreme's. for instance the sidi adventure sells for $300 was $375 anywhere. i could not help it and got a pair with $90 savings. bring cash and you'll get better pricing.

overall, i think the show was great. in spite of the rain, the parking lot was packed. lots of people inside. it was good to see a lot of vendors out there trying to get our business and surviving in a tough economy. my hat's off to these folks. the least i could do for them is be there at the show.

this is one opportunity to talk to new vendors, factory reps, and look at new products.

i tried to get the attention of nicomomma and adventure godess as they cross shoreline in front of us. these gorgeous women don't turn their heads and look at a chevy pick up truck.....:rofl

anyway, cool to see many PPs...ktami, alon, foulplug, liorsmotoride, biggieFalls, dunerat, sgt and mrs smokers. later riddler, ti-d-bowl and i went to the yardhouse. good food but the service sucks (that was expected since the place was packed).

    pics being uploaded.
