What a great day to ride!! I only had time to ride around the yard. No time for a tag today. Its about 50degF in the sunshine.
    Any taggers today?

I decided January was a good month to do some long overdue work on the Ural. Tires,bearings,valves,carbs..... who knew we would have any decent riding weather!?!?

The two wheelers are in hibernation until spring....... so no tags for me.

I should be back in business in a week or so.

Yesterday would have been a perfect day to fix my recycled tag - but I had my bike apart for my annual brake fluid bleed. Today I'm hauling kids around and missing the nice sunshine.

I do hope someone else gets out there. Fire up the electric heat gadgets and hit the road.

Hey toad? Didn't you see the guy on a Ural in a blizzard in Indy?
Snow and low temps should be no hindrance for the Ural, its FROM Siberia, after all.
This tag shouldn't stand a chance against the Ural.

You are correct. Ive ridden right thru the past 4 or 5 winters...

This was taken on our last ride a couple weeks back now

Makes for a great Snowmobile, Ice buggy ... as well as ATV, puller out of shrubs and of course Motorcycle

Winter in michigan means lots of salt... even with the best of spray coatings to protect (a real pain to clean off in the spring)... salt + metal = rust

The end result of that is this:

    Wheels off -

Wheels tore down - Scrapping the old, now very rusty steel rims in favor of new Aluminum rims. I hope to have them by the end of the week....

Ive cleaned and painted the hubs, cleaned and repacked the bearings, once I get the new rims - relace, true them up... and off we goooooooooooooooooooo ... thats the plan anyway :lol3

Did you ever try salt away?

The g/s has had masses doses of the stuff after a couple of winters on The jersey turnpike.
It might be a myth though, I still have deer whistles on the fender, even though snow bum says they're fake.

Mama deer, do you hear that whistling sound?

Papa deer, I do, what do you think it is?

Mama deer, not sure maybe we should run out there and see.

I regret making a joke involving the i-75 pileup. There were lots of people injured and killed. I realized later it was inappropriate to joke about.

I rode to work today. ~38-40 deg. F. Not bad. Hope to be tagging again soon. No time today as work always gets in the way of having fun. :puke1

Me too. Sure feels good! If there was more dirt around me, I could have made it a tag.

The BMW Touring Club of Detroit has a few dirt bike rides during riding season, 4TooMany you tagged along on one last year. These are not planned rides they just happen, some one will post something on our forum on a Thursday or Friday with a GPS file. These rides are anywhere from 50 to 100 miles in length. Good fun/:clap

I remember. Your initialism threw me off. I didn't know what TCD meant. Maybe you have to be a club member to get the lingo.
