Hi Emiles,

Thank you for the absolutely stunning report. The countless details, photos, jokes (99% :D ) you have provided were incredible. You were 100% percent in control of your trip all the way.

Hi Emile, since I'm a teenager I've always dreamed about the Silk Road, Samarkand and such other mysterious places. Thank you for removing some of the mystery and replacing it with pure envy!

I love your pics, especially of the people and it seems that you are good at establishing connections with them. Great stories too... a real joy to read!

Thanks for sharing :clap

2003-2005

I didn't do the Europe part. I started in California and rode to Argentina then shipped the bike to Japan then Vladivostok. Did siberia and Mongolia then all the stans you did and Iran and the rest of the middle east to Egypt and East Africa to Cape Town then shipped the bike to New York and rode it home to California. Not the same trip at all, but parts of it were.

This guy in the middle looks kind of familiar. That was taken in Kathmandu at our trip thru Asia in the 2000.<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:eek:ffice:eek:ffice" />

Nice trip:clap, my plane for summeris similary route. Is possible entry from Tadzykistan in Pakistan via China easy, will not go in desert like you, is it cheaper than 650e if I just go nearborder and entry to Pakistan? I like driving karakorum highway same:lol3:clap

If you want to go to China, you need to arrange a guide there before you leave.
But that's the only way to get from the Stans to Pakistan (KKH) ..
It will be cheaper if you just go directly from Tajikistan via the Kyrgistan border to Kashgar, China and then KKH to Pakistan.
Good luck!
