I just heard that the entire section of the Blue Ridge Parkway in North Carolina has been closed including the commuter section in Asheville.

The BRP is completely closed - it was on the news. I didn't hear the reason, but I'm sure it is because of the white stuff that is supposed to be falling from the heavens in great quantities...

You must have passed through right before the decision and announcement. I heard it on the 6pm news as a "just announced" sort of thing. Don't know when they actually locked the gates - probably after this afternoon's commuter traffic.

Closed due to the storm forecast. Talked to a friend about 1pm and they had already cancelled classes for tomorrow at his kids school in Asheville. By now they have probably prepared to shut down most of western NC.

Doesn't matter - I gotta work in the field anyway......beats the heck out of mud up to my eyeballs.:deal

Guess I'll have to "Patrol" around the Pisgah Forest tomorrow.
