2014 F800GSA - Did you get a plastic key?

I only received the 2 metal keys when I picked up my machine. I have a buddy with a '12 1200 GSA and his included the 2 metal keys and a plastic one as well.

Did the '14 F800 GSA's not come with them, or did mine get lost at the dealer?

I live in Namibia and bought my F800GS Adv in March this year (was the demo model) at our local BMW Dealer and I received two Normal keys and a Plastic key (called the wallet key - meant to keep in you wallet for emergencies).

I received a plastic key (in additional to the metal key), it was located in a plastic pouch with my manual.

I just bought my '14 800 GS two weeks ago in Utah and did not get a plastic key. I asked the dealer about that and he said they stopped doing it this year.

I received it too.

I have a 2014 F800GSA and I received the plastic key. I would call around to other BMW dealers and see if their 2014 bikes include the plastic key.

The plastic key of my R1200R broke, so I replaced it with a standard metal key at almost the same price. So, when I got the plastic key for the F800GS, I put it in the file folder with the service history and bought another metal key, instead!

Mine came with a plastic key. I bought my Gsa in March.

Picked up my 14 GSA in Mar and came with the plastic key and 2 normal metal key.

Picked my up 3 weeks ago and no plastic key here

Forget the damn plastic key.

Got lazy in the garage and used the plastic key to open the fuel cap. Effing thing broke off so I had to force the lock with a screwdriver and vice grips!

Bought mine yesterday it came with one

On my Adventure Riding trip to New Mexico this year I forgot my key at home had to use the plastic key for 10 days of riding. :eek1 I was very careful starting and opening the gas cap.

BTW- a few years ago I called my dealer and ordered 2 spares... the new metal keys comes direct from BMW US distributor cut with your code - show proof on ownership to pick up at your dealer. $35 each I think it was.

My 2013 F700GS came with one though

Bought my 2014 F800 GSA last week. It came with two normal keys and one plastic key.

2009 F800GS, two metal one plastic.
