March Moto Madness 2013

March Moto Madness, 3/21 - 3/24 of 2013. This year our rally promises to be bigger and better than ever with new bike games, rides, and prizes. Located in Tellico Plains TN, you never know what the weather will bring this time of the year, which makes for good adventure! It looks like I'm heading south a little early next year.

Come down early; I just scheduled vacation from 3-15 through 4-1.

Who wants to meet in Frankfort, KY on 3/20 by noon? So we can do the Buffalo Trace tour.

It could still be snowing up here at that time. If I use all my vacation for MMM, The Rendevous, BYOB, and the fall Notarally, I can't do CADVR.

I'll probably leave Wed. after work and make it almost half way to Tellico that night.

When are you moving down here again?

I'm in, went last year for the first time and had a blast. Great riding in the area, great people to hang out with and a lot of fun when not riding, bike games, food, fire, meeting people from all over, sharing stories, talking about bikes, etc. All the good stuff you would expect and the setting is great also, don't miss it if you haven't been !

I should have back in '94. It's going to be a couple of years yet.

Hi everybody! Looks like I'll be leading a women's ride on Saturday, March 23. I'm planning on doing gravel roads in varying stages of decay but nothing super-technical.

I'll post more details (like route, start time and rendezvous location) as we get closer to March Moto Madness. Feel free to contact me in the meantime if you have any questions.

Woohoo! I've talked with some ladies that wanna do some technical stuff too.

This is why I'm wary about sex-segregating riding events: "women's" events are usually geared toward novices and not all women are novices. It's patronizing and infantilizing to make the women's ride easier than the men's ride but I want to be welcoming to women who want to ride and have fun but not get caught up in dick-measuring contests.

If there are enough women at MMM this year maybe we can split off into two groups, an easy ride and a hard ride. I'm open to suggestions here.
