Paved one is about a 2 hour ride, gravel is about a 6 hour ride. Paved one is a get me out of here as I have a long way to ride to get home route. That being said part of it is a great twisty road :thumb

day_3dirt_a track tells me 129 miles. i do not recognize the non-dirt day 3 routes - sadly they won't load in my copy of basecamp. a box keeps popping up telling me to "ride the dirt not the bitumen".

I'll eschew tarmac for Friday and Saturday, but Sunday is going to be the day of homeward burnination. Unless I can make the six hour gravel in to a four hour :eyes

That kinda summed on what we were thinking...most folks have a heck of a ride home so the "get me outta here" route was/is provided.

I am usually fairly generous with my time frames...aka when I say 6 hours it can usually be done in 3 kind of a thing if you arent taking photos, etc

Those pics beg the question: how often are there restaurants/food stops along the route? Thinking one good warm meal a day could go a long way, and then just live on power bars and jerky the rest of the time.

Last year we had 3 warm meals a day. You aren't quite in a waste land, just a sparsely populated paradise. If you stop for gas and food when you are passing gas and food you will have it, if you drive by it you may not see it again for a while.

Only 50 days left till the chaos begins.:ricky

Here is the lastest update of the Riders List. 27 riders who signed up but haven't confirmed...if you're one of those 27 or one of your riding buddies is, it would be helpful to let us know if you're still attending as space is limited.
