I've been over these numerous times, but when you least expect it, the algae will put you on your ass. Then it is a bitch to pick your bike up when it keeps sliding to the edge. Be wary!

I road the seven spring wash and the horseshoe dam last year.

The seven spring wash was at the end of my circle loop, cruising just having fun. Totally wiped out on that slippery SOB, sent the bike scooting the whole way. I told the rangers, but I dont think they did anything.

BTW the best time to ride the walkway is when they are releasing the water - too cool. Even better is when they release it while you are under there. The world is coming down...

They are not releasing any water from the dam today and you can walk across the river where the Jeeps go across below the dam.

I have been there when the gate across the spill way was open. One of our group decided to ride across the spillway, fell on the slick algae, and almost slid over the edge of the spillway. So, even if the gate is open, I'd take the walkway.

first time i ever went i thought it'd be cool to rip that crossing... Thankfully, as i was doing 360's on my side, i went straight and not off the edge. fck.
