I got a PM from tdeverson about getting togather for a beer with all the local inmates. I was thinking mid December would be good. In Lincoln or Omaha would work for me.....or anywhere in between.

I know lot's of great places to eat/drink. doG knows that Omaha has no shortage of restaurants!!

Jazz in downtown Omaha would be great.
Lazlo's in both Omaha and Lincoln.
Upstream in both downtown Omaha or out West.
Or any Old Chicago, Pizza place or Bar and Grill would be just fine.

We could talk about bikes and bitch about the cold.

How about "Round the Bend" in South Bend? They host the "Testicle Festival" every summer so you can tell its a high class joint. It's a mile or two south of the interstate at the Ashland exit, about half way between LNK and OMA. Friday has a great fish fry that includes every man's 4 favorite words - "All you can eat." (ok maybe those are my 4 favorite words) Get there early on Friday though. It's no secret that they have good food.

Otherwise, the Branched Oak Inn in Malcolm is good too (and only 2 miles from my house :augie). Great prime rib the last time I had it. :tb

Yeah, I'm in. Planning car meetings already? I'm going to see if I can't plow my way to Omaha again this weekend on the 650... It's too early in the year to start driving the TRCKR 1600.

Only reason for the "car meeting" was because of the beers involved. I don't drink at all while on the bike.

Round the Bend sounds good. Everytime I pass that place, it's busy.

    Drink and ride = no
    Drink and drive= ok.

    :scratch :dunno

I'm in and would even volunteer do drive anybody that wants to drink and not drive to Omaha and back to Lincoln.

I knew that was coming.....thanks Dad....

I am sure you know what I mean when I say I can have a couple with dinner and feel no effects. I am not talking about going to the bar and doing tequila shots. I just have a personal rule about NO booze if on the bike.

You're a better man than me... I did have a beer in Rulo :1drink

Maybe I'll have my dad drive me. Wouldn't be any worse than having Jeff drive :lol3

Just figured it was pretty easy for everybody to get to. Maybe more would show that way. What time of the week were you thinking?

Maybe we can do this next week? It is my dead week and I'm not a very good student so I can probably take one night off :1drink

It may be Thursday that she is working. I'll check and get back to ya.

I'd say the same, but it looks like the weather Thursday could be pretty shitty.

I didn't mean THIS week, I meant NEXT week. That is a little confusing when I say THIS NEXT week :lol3

Unless you guys are talking about next week. In which case I should be free just about any night. :1drink

Just out of curiousity, and at risk of sounding like a weanie, are you guys still planning to ride on Sat? Mind you my bike has only sat neglected for the last week but today's weather change has me slightly concerned about succumbing to gravity and embarrassing my kalahari yellow GS.
