Pennsylvania State Forests are GREAT places to ride!!!, I've been doing so since 1975. :D

Michaux State Forest (pronounced Me- sho) is in south central Pennsylvania. I grew up on roads like this. I get back here as often as I can/

An excellent informational post from towpro:

It is relatively new to me too. It's the closest PA SF to me in Baltimore. I lived next to Rothrock for a long time, and between that and Bald Eagle I got plenty of forest road riding. :evil

to the folks who posted: Thank you for the kind comments!

Jax, Great photos!!!! Used to live in Mechanicsburg and would spend many weekends in the Michaux S.F. / Pine Grove Forest area, climbing up the back side of Pole Steeple for great views of the Cumberland Valley. Thanks for bringing back memories!!

Yeh man. That is the shit. down there close to where Michaux ends at Mt Holly Springs. Ridge is the good stuff. I go in right off 16 and come out up at MHS, and generally get lost along the way...Or I'm following someone (code) who gets lost:lol3 wouldn't be the same without it.

    Enjoy:

    Nice shots Jack.

MSF has one other feature that's almost gotten me in trouble a coupla times. Come hauling butt around a corner on a paved road and have it turn to gravel halfway through. On the FJR with PR2 tires, those are a real bun clencher.

    :eek1

Looking forward to the next ride to eat!

    Hi.
I usually go in just off hwy 16 on the southern part and come out on Ridge in the northern. The way I get from A to B is different every time, I enjoy getting lost.

    Thanks Wreck,

I'll let you know when I plan the next RTE! Hope you are in town.
