On board the Gee's Bend Ferry as we cross the Alabama River. That's my bride's blue S 250. Headed out on the Alabama River aboard the Gee's Bend Ferry. The ferry ride saved us a few miles, but was worth far more than that for the experience. The object of our affections and the main reason for the adventure: six-week-old Zella Marin. The tyke is wearing socks my bride knitted for her. She is our first grandchild. The ferry ride is over. Me and the mighty S 250 about to cross the Alabama River on the Gee's Bend Ferry. Me in front of the Atmore state penitentiary. The guard in the tower was yelling at us to stop taking pictures.
nice pics!!!!how fast will the S250 go. i just sold my Piaggio BV250ie tourer and am getting a majesty 400. a salesperson turned me off the S250 because he said it would not be near as torquey and fast as the piaggio. the piaggio would haul my 210 to 85--90 and had good roll on(it had the quasar FI liquid cooled eng./)----i really like the looks of your scoot and probably would have been happy with it. best doug
we stayed on two-lanes. on state hwy 5, we ran 60 mph easily (speed limit was 55). we don't do interstates, but we've gone many a mile at 55-65. no issues. i've had mine a 75-plus indicated, but i wouldn't want to stay there. a little too much constant stress for a 2-fiddy. i weigh about 215 with my gear on, by the way.
