Is there a better battery for the LC4 640? And, if not, who has the best Yuasa price?

Everytime I take my bike to a mechanic they manage to hurt the battery enough that I have to get another within weeks of them running it down and /or overcharging it and/or letting it sit dischaged. Is there a better and/or cheaper and/or lighter battery available than the stocker that can take this shit? And if not, where is the best deal on another Yuasa?

P.S. I've already fired the old mechanics

I highly recommend the Odyssey, I have one in my Dr.Big, I used to have problems if starting in cooler temps if the batter was even a little less than 100%. Since I upgraded it starts perfect everytime, even if it has sat for a while.

since they are posting this they must know you are a Made Man... :lol3

ps - I have a stock battery - never had problems. Even let it sit for over a month w/ no trickle charger and it didn't hardly want a charge!

found a local odyssea dealer and will see if it can keep the battery molestors at bay.

    Walmart is your friend.

They don't have those high dollar batteries, but they have batteries that fit, cost less, and are likely just around the corner from a 640 near you.

    Hi!
I have a 2000 KTM 640/LC4, I bought new, and NEVER changed the battery. I've wound it pretty low a couple of times in the winter, but I never keep it on charge. I've jumped it a couple of times. It'll sit for months and start after a few seconds of cranking. I've noticed, though, that although it may crank, there must not be enough 'juice' at the top of compression to fire the plug, sometimes. But, this is a 10 year old battery!

I have NEVER EVER had a motorcycle battery last more than a couple of years before this one. There's magic in this battery! I think it's a Yuasa..
