Anyway...I go on lots of day trips it seems and I usually take a bunch of pics so....

Sometimes my neighborhood is dusty...



...and lots of things seem to be rusty...



...so far that little Strom has been pretty trusty...



...I bet the inside of this place smells musty...

The Blue Ridge Parkway....will likely be a same road, different day.





Behold, the highest point in North America East of the Mississippi...it's up there somewhere!

Brown Mtn is home to a nice OHV.....maybe another day.



It's hard for me to get home before sunset....



...or even moonrise!

Looks a nice part of the world there mate.... where is it? I see you,ve fitted forward pegs !!! i did the same one my Varadero last year every one took the pi55 at first untill they tried them !!! great on long hauls

Nice RR. I've been on some of those same roads on my Vee although I don't recognize the trail in the last series of photos.

I have to get some new tires shortly. What are you using on your Wee?

Both of those rides were in NC through the foothills and the East slope of the Blue Ridge. Yeah the choppa' pegs are nice for stretching on a long stretch.

That bumpy road was coming down from Old House Gap (oneninetytwo) You've probably ridden it on your KLX.

I've been running different tires on the Strom, right now there's a Tourance on the rear and an Anakee 2 on the front.

Sad to see those 2 old '69-'70 Cougars sitting there rusting away (Right side of the pic, sitting side by side next to the big white station wagon)...where exactly is this, 'banjo?

That's in downtown Casar, NC....I'm guessing that both of those cars are for sale as a whole or for parts if you're interested....

...but be careful, they just seen a Bigfoot up there in June!

Speaking of which....Blue Ridge Parkway, July 4th, 2010

Test running the Strom for the ride out to WestFest.

Before you can get to the parkway.....





I even got to ride with a couple of inmates up on the VA side of the line. Ogribike on the airhead and I forgot the gentleman on the strom's screen name.



The Southern Virgina portion has a lot of rolling farm land.



sometimes I snap pics on the fly....



...sometimes I stop and smell the flowers.









Look at those nice new shoes she's wearing.









Then I stopped for lunch at Freebornes, the home of this years Eastern Rendezvous, and had a chance meeting with dlrides. Who was out for a cruise on his old flat head hog!





Let's see how hard that thing is to kickstart?

Approaching Grandfather Mtn the Holiday traffic was really starting to cramp my style. :ddog





I stuck with it for a while longer and it had thinned out by the time I got to Chestoa view.



There's Table Rock in the distance...there are two gorges between me and it here.









Headed back through the foothills......I still had a Fourth of July party to go to!!





The owner of this winery adopted a couple of GSDs that my wife had helped rescue!
