Bacon wants to go home to Australia

Tomorrow I will be picking Bacon up, he will return to NZ with me in a couple of weeks.

Somehow we have to get him across the Tasman. I will be without a bike (for approx 2 months) until mine gets back in the country so he really needs to be picked up from Taranaki.

So everyone put your thinking caps on and help get Bacon home!

the only bacon on any ride should be sitting beside eggs on a plate

there is something emotionally wonky about people who ride with stuffed toys.....

Is a 'stuffed toy' a soft tactile representation of a human construct or just an old adventure bike on its last legs?

Funny. I just read the original thread. I met bacon's dad in Melbourne 5 years ago. We used to work in the same building :)

Mike, I "might" be able to help, dependant on my trip planning for getting to the MMM, one option was to spend an extra day around Taranaki before the ride (Kiwi Road excetera).
Once I know what Gary (Petes' brother) is doing I will let you know.

Mike - been spending most of my time lately in the Aus forum - today I'm in Peterborough SA - planning to be part of charity ride to held in the Flinders at the end of August - would he like to go on that ride - much like 'Pooey' the stuffed ostrich I took to the Brass with Struan in 09 - just askin :)

Hi Mike - I'm in SA at the begining of my retirement

As this is Bacon's first visit to NZ I have decided that he needs to see NZ first. NordieBoy in Nelson is also keen for him to visit.

So that is the plan, I will pass him onto a biker heading South, of course only after he has seen the Naki (not that I have a bike at the moment).
