Seth: Meteor MC the club that hosts Sandy lane, has access to private land and can have single track there. They also use part of Wharton Forest (The forest I was talking about) to get to the private (good) sections. So Sandy Lane should still be a great enduro this year. Doug: The PB's are alot of fun, even without the single track. Jack
Best of luck Jack, they're trying to limit all our fun. Once my guns are gone, then they'll take my dirt bike. Life won't be worth living On a happy note, Sites 4 ,5 and 10 have been reserved at H Cooper Black! Come hang out if you're bored
Racing the Sandlapper National Enduro the day after SandBlast, but I'll be down to volunteer and cheer you guys on like last year. Entry list is filling up and the SB should be a ton of fun for you guys this year. MD class looks to be extremely competitive. Glad to see Mike back on the SE. Going to miss that Appy that Conger rode though. If anybody wants to run some similar terrain to SB pm me. Thanks for fighting for our rights to ride Jack!
I doubt bill is going to miss the Ape, at least the points after it stopped running. Wish i could go do the enduro with everyone else looking forward to seeing you, Greg! Thanks for the good fight, Jack! Want to race, bad.
So why don't ya? You can crash in the rv or trailer with me Sat night, should only be a 1-2hour drive after awards banquet.
LEt me see if I can work it out. Have tot bring two bikes and work on a ride home Or just run the 450 for a novelty, then switch front sprockets :huh? and still get a new ride home... decisions decisions.... Been following your SA adventure, Bobby, Sounds Awesome!
Do you have a row assignment yet? Known controls..... you guys have it easy down there. It's a Hare scamble divided into sections hahahaha
Haven't seen it posted yet, they just posted for the Cherokee enduro and with registering 20 minutes after the opening I got row 99 If it's wet I'll not even bother showing up as row 48 last year was ridiculous in wet weather.
Hey: I remember Crank, me and another guy or two Push starting Bill off the line at BRS a few years ago. Jason: Send me an email. I got some great pic's of you the other day. JJ, Dave C and Peter joined us last week. Jack
That wasn't Bill, Jack, that was Mark Ely. His seat was pinching the fuel line at the start of Jerden falls. I liked when we ran Jerden falls in that direction and made the hard right at the Sand pits. Great road!
Sounds like the potential for a miserable time if the row assignment sucks. Heading to the Winter scramble in the morning, should be fun!
It's official - I'm signed up! First Sandblast, first Motorally... I'm pumped Now if I can just find that noob queue... Cheers!
Sweet!!!! Let me know if you want to carpool. I'm in East Atlanta. Leaving Friday mid morning.....coming home sunday.
Why don't you bring the 500 down and come run the Sandlapper with us. As far as row assignment, Bobby is right...not out yet. We had one guy sign us all (5) up at the same time on the 1st day of registration. He requested the same row for us...row 25.
Sounds like a few folks are running the Enduro on Sunday after SandBlast. Anybody doing the harescramble? Any scouting reports from folks who've done this race before? http://www.mideastracing.com/rd1sched.htm
This sounds like more fun to me after a rally My 500 isn't set up for Enduro yet and I probably won't have time with all the other stuff going on.
Yep, but it's not a National like the Sandlapper. $30 cheaper....Now that's funny ...and you're traveling how far and paying how much to run the SandBlast? What's another $30? Hey Crankshaft, You said the Sandlapper ain't nothing but a Hare Scramble divided into sections, so what's the difference in setting your 500 up for 1 HS or a bunch in the same day?
I don't care if it's an international, I'm not interested in row 130, especially if it rains Did this race on Sunday and had a blast.... <iframe width="560" height="315" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/wfMuw8zyDWQ" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe> Line up, drop the hammer for two hours and then head home....perfect
Sounds like a good format for a stage at Sand Blast. Wave start like a couple of years ago in Dakar. Yep, back rows are going to have a tough time at the Sandlapper if it's wet.
