Tecate Crossing

    We are planing to cross into Mexico in Tecate ; does anybody know if there is an US immigration office there where we can turn in our tourist card and get an exit stamp ?

    I now there is an immagration on the right just as the gate lifts going in, However not sure about where to turn in your visa as I came out in Mexicali and had no problems there.

    To be clear, you'll need to stop BEFORE you cross the border. The BP and ICE are usually on the northbound side, so you may have to take a few turns to get to it.

    I've never crossed there, but based on experience, it's probably here.

    This is off-topic for the original question but does pertain to the Tecate crossing. Tecate has not had a Banjercito office for years so you could not get a TVIP (vehicle import permit) there. I walked across the border to have lunch in Tecate, BC yesterday and saw a new Banjercito kiosk and asked if you could now get a vehicle import permit there. Was told yes, open from 8-4. Forgot to ask if it was every day or just M-F. DanTop
