i did this once http://www.stromtrooper.com/ride-reports-route-sheets/60637-foghorn-cleghorn.html and the Gallatin Range in Montana once. up over 10,299-ft Hyalite Peak on a DR650. i'm a glutton for punishment.
Copy and paste from the other thread for the Friday ride; Got up there Friday am to hear about hangovers....so we took the easy way up; Rearsteer The Grinch Rob Stopped for the view and called for bars Next it was up Rocky Ridge to Wagy Ridge, couldn't even see our tracks from last weekend This is a new go around Wet dirt and some group smoothed out Just Outstanding so it was game on and no more pics to the swimming hole; Started up Tobias and got a chance to try out the new hand chain saw We gave up here as my bike was throwing steam and there was alot more hard work ahead Portuguese Pass to get back All down hill from there back to camp, thanks for dinner Rob!
Here's a couple more from Saturday; Sunday was some trails that we rode the week before. After we split up, I thought it would be easy to retrace last weeks trail. WRONG. The rain started the grass growing, covering the trail. All cowtracks looked like the trail but would lead us the wrong way....:eek1 The only pic I took
what a nice rr and looks like some nice trails too. I can see why you would not want some huge bikes up there shredding up the single track, hopefully most people respect the hard work it takes to keep em in shape.perry i got to take you up for that ride. adam
I have a ktm 690 and would not try to ride the trails in the area On it... the trails all have spots that would be hard on a big bike Adv is full of peeps that own big poser dirt bikes and they are good for dirt roads not .... single track
OK more of the report after a short break at the river Perry and I made our way back to camp I'll be back in the spring went it's all green Perry more Perry don't miss the turn Perry's in lot of the pic's a place for big bikes a place for small bikes the last few pic's I had a great weeken of riding thanks boy's This will be the last report with trial names sorry but that's how it go's
You can ride these trails all year, no need to wait for spring. Have been up there a gizillion times. Some of the best riding in SoCal! IMHO Damon with Team DualDogs puts on a nice event up there every year! Bundy
