You wouldn't be the first to get those two weekends twisted :1drink

One of the days over the long weekend I will be doing some exploring between my place in Rancho Bernardo out to Ramona and possible on to Julian. My intent is to find backroads/dirt roads (as much as possible) to get to the desert. I usually truck to Banner and drop the bike off and head across on Rodriguez Spur Trail and across ABD State Park and places east. If anyone has suggestions or gps tracks I would appreciate it.

I'm in the San Diego area right off the Del Dios between the 5 and 15! I just found San Diego Adven Rider site and it has a ton of great info and advice. I have a 1200 GS but I"m in the market to buy something a lil smaller that I can do some single track and other exploration! Do most of you guys have a street legal bike?

Time to go for a ride then… on Saturday I’ll be leaving Rancho Bernardo and start heading east. I’ll have to do a little slab on Highland Valley – Bandy then cut off on the dirt at Guejito/Orosco trail and start heading east. Will head over to Borrego Springs and possibly Ocotillo Wells/Salton City. Will be riding at good trail speed to make some time but always stop for a few pictures. I’ll be riding a Husky TE510 and geared up for a long ride and possibly an overnighter. This is just a shakedown ride to get ready for the season so no real pressure or plan… just riding. Anyone interested you’re welcome to join.

    Hello,

Moving to San Diego the 15th of Oct as my Fiancee got a job at UCSD. I ride a lot both on the hard and soft stuff presently pared the fleet down to a Tiger 1050, Bonneville T100 and XT225. Planning on adding something along the lines of a DRZ400 or such once we get settled. Anyhow looking forward to the move and getting to ride with you guys.
