I checked out a youtube video of the Indiana track. It looks pretty good. There's some elevation change, and it looks like a good red clay surface. I'm just glad it isn't another Utah type track.
WTF? Supercross don't start for another 6-7 weeks and you dorks want to talk about next year's outdoor season already. Dayummmm...
What does Supercross have to do with Motocross ????? It's never too early to start planning next summers long weekends.
Looks like they are starting the season on a proper MX track. Good to see Glen Helen back on the list. IMHO a much better track than the other 2 here.
Woops! My bad. I went back to that sight and looked a little closer and saw that the track was in Mississippi. Should have known that red clay wasn't in Indiana.
Badlands is in Attica, IN. Crawfordsville is where the GNCC race is held. I can't find any info on the track. But now I have Red Bud and this track within a 2 hour drive.
Not seeing Southwick on the 2014 schedule just breaks my heart Broom tioga, Southwick, you will be missed.
Best I can tell, there's not an existing MX track in Crawfordsville, but they are building one at the sight where the GNCC race is held. I believe some of the MX track will adjoin part of the GNCC course. It looks like there's some pretty good terrain to work with.
about half of the MX track is already built (possibly all of it at this point?). They used portions of the track for the Ironman GNCC this year. lots of videos on youtube, and plenty of pictures in the vitalmx forum, including overhead drone shots of the track from the GNCC weekend. There are some pretty big uphill/downhill sections, including a big step up triple. looks like it should be a very cool track.
