The doo has been upgraded with EagleMike's products and the torsion spring last fall. Approx 4k miles ago.

I have not removed the side cases yet as I dont have the proper place to do it, nor the knowledge of what to look for once its open.

if you can get the bike down to Albuquerque, I can get you hooked up with a great mechanic who works out of his house in the East Mountains, and another inmate who lives a mile away that can let you stay at his place for a couple of days.

PM me if you want details......:deal

As I recall Sir Dennis Eaton-Hogg was trying to unload a KLR lower end for a steal ($50), here in denver. So if the issues are real bad and you have more time than money .....

I'll see if I can find the post.

Yeah - that one, just below V

As of now the plan is to.meet an inmate in grand junction who is heading to ABQ, but I have to rent a trailer from uhaul which is killing me. I haven't opened up the bike yet but would like to just to investigate and diagnose with some help from anyone.

I posted in the RMAR event thread maybe someone has room in a trailer or something...

Magoo, I'll keep that in mind when I get down there. I have a place to stay with a friend but will be looking for a job ASAP, which will.sucl without the KLR at 100% ...

Mark, Im pretty sure i texted you the other night and the person replied with not being Mark, Lol...

Also, as of now I have no clue what's making the noise, but I'll.keep that bottom end post in mind.

Today I adjusted the doo hickey and also the cam chain tension and took her for a spin. The knocking/pounding noise is nearly gone. But in replace of that there is now a rattling sound that may be coming from the right side. Sounds like a thin piece of sheet metal bouncing all.over or bouncing off something that is constantly moving...

This problem (to me anyway) has camchain tensioner blade written all over it.

Thats been my objective but help that has been offered hasn't quite worked out. And now I have something worked out where I need to meet someone a few hours away and think I may have to wait till I get to where I'm supposed to be before tearing into it.
