i have a pair of gerbings G3 Gloves. I like them very much they are quite warm and i dont even have them hooked up to my bike(s)...but I am still comtemplating buying the harness and temp troller and going all the way. The gloves were slightly used from a friend for $60...:clap The harness and troller would set me back another $100 or so...:deal

Technically, you don't need the 'troller. You can set them up on a simple on/off switch, which works great if you do short rides. You could also buy a resistor to create a Hi/Lo/Off type switch.

You could also just go with a Variable Heat Controller from Hot Grips and wire that in. It is simply a PWM module that cycles power. I run one on my grips and it works great. They run around $30.

The harness itself is only $10. They Y connector is another $17. The switch assembly could be done for $5 at Radio Shack.

Edit: Come to think about it, I may have a harness laying around. Let me do some digging.

That's neat RD...I'm not much of a diy-er especially when it comes to electrical stuff... I like plug and play... LOL. Thanks for the suggestions ;-)

This is a tempting tag. Some of my favorite roads are up that way. We'll see if it makes it to the weekend.

I ordered a pair of Hippo Hands before I left AK, man they're bigger than I thought :eek1
well made, but I haven't fitted them yet, after going to Jacksonville/Wilmington to see the new Grandson and family, I just haven't had time (since I had to squeeze some riding in before I head back tomorrow:cry)
I'll mount 'em up when I get back the end of Jan and let you know how they work.

for me it's all about fingers and toes now.

my ultra-lite areostich, tourmaster jacket liner, olympia wind proof liner and the micro fleece aerostich zipover pants over jeans did me just fine coming home a couple nights ago from TN down around 27-28 degF.

somewhere in the move home the heated glove liners disappeared :huh and man I miss 'em

grip heaters do not heat the tips of my fingers nor the ever frozen right thumb :vardy

You could grab the triangle tag on the way too. I try to leave the tags somewhere along some fun roads. Hopefully people find new rides that way.
