    Great!
We have one with 22 liters here, I'm using, but, this one is very very good.
In some trips here, I have to carry more gas, because we don't have gas stations, specially in Cordillera de Los Andes.

Not really a big problem here in Denmark - never more than 30 click to the next gasstation.

By the way ... this weekend i attended a 2 day driving course with alot of touring and roadracing MC's. Actually mannaged to scrabe the footrests/pegs in some of the corners :) Knobby tires arn't all that bad os asfalt guys. I mannaged to get almost ALL of my Michellin T63's to have contact wif the asfalt. Except for the last 2 mm :ricky

May your roads be dusty and full of adventure !

    Godday...

Does anyone have experience with Hyde Racing´s bashplate for the 660:

Is it strong enough for direct impacts (rocks...:muutt) and how is the protection of the coolant pump?

+ Does anyone have a picture of the Hyde windscreen?...:0-0 Is it any good?

That looks awsome - but i guess i'll have to pay some wizard :dog to get that to happen on my 660. I have NO clue how to handle wirering and electronics.
:-) Guess i'll just let the battery run flat !

Hi there, I'm a new member of Adv, but have been following for a couple of years. I am currently based in the UK and acquired a 2007 XT660R with some decent extras recently. Since then I have battled to find "active" resources on these models on the web / forums. I have visited the official XT660.com site but not very impressive. I've been on "Off-the-road" but products and mods quite exclusive and premium.
Any hints / pointers will be appreciated.
Is anyone aware of any other meeting places for XT owners?
    Thanks
    Willie

Then you haven't looked close enough, you will not find anything better. Register on the forum and get all the info and help you need on the model. Honestly. :deal

+1 on XT660.com. If they don't know the answer to any XT660 issue then NOBODY does. I went for day ride with the technical guy (Kev) in Brisbane last year. Top guy, very knowledgable and modest. The xt660 forum is one of the few forums I have been on in the last 10 years where common sense and maturity reigns supreme (as opposed to ego, in-fighting etc).

Agreed - www.xt660.com has good leads on almost all topics. If your danish is any good go: www.tenere.dk :D

I saw this bike on the XT660 forum and I just had to say this... America is really missing out with Yamaha choosing not to import the XTR, XTX, and XTZ to the the country. It would be their biggest volume market, and they're choosing not to, I finding baffling. I recently moved to Australia from the US, and bought one just because. I wish the North America would get them so the aftermarket parts segment would multiply. If I was back in the US, I could think of NO BETTER commuter bike than the Tenere. It's leaps and bounds smoother than a DR or KLR, has a very respectable service interval, and even though it's fuel injected it's a very simple bike.

So....this isn't my bike, hopefully the fella from XT660 doesn't mind me posting it! :D

Well... I did find the windscreen on the page: http://www.hyderacing.com/store/adventure/yamaha/660.htm but without a picture.
I gave them a call - very helpful, but he had never seen a picture of it and since he hasn´t gotten back to me on email I assume that he never found one either...
Now, rechecking the website - they have removed the windscreen :lol3 (I should get payed for keeping them up-to-date on their own material )

    Any recommendations for windscreens?

    Cheers...
