My name is Randy Hyden and I'm a product specialist for Leo Vince exhuast, and a DL-650 rider. If I may ever be of help to anyone on the forum, please feel free to email me at randy@leovinceusa.com .

I am not here to spam, or sell exhuast. My intention is to assist with questions about performance exhuast (not just Leo Vince). If you are ever looking to purchase product, I'm happy to refer you to one of our prefered stocking dealers.

Randy, this is perfect timing. I am trying to find a replacement carbon fiber strap which holds the silencer to the subframe for an X3 pipe. Mine melted when I lost a subframe bolt, lowering the pipe too much. :eek1 I am also missing the carbon fiber heat shields that go on the main body of the pipe. Where can I order new ones or get replacements? The leovinceusa website didn't list them for purchase.

What's the bike that the mounting strap and heat shield is needed for?
The parts can be sent to the supply source of you choice. Do you have a favorite shop?

Thanks for the quick response! In looking at it I am not sure this pipe actually is supposed to come with a heat shield. It is for an 02 LC4E KTM. The mounting strap I do need. Pro Moto Sports in Woodstock, GA is who I usually deal with.

I only see a slip-on being offered for that application. So if you want a heat shield, our universal carbon fiber heat shield would work on the stock KTM head pipe.

Are there any plans for a slip-on, non-repack, silencer, with spark arrester for the Suzuki DR650? There more than a few of us who'd buy one, in a heart beat. As long as I'm asking for the Sun, Moon and Stars, it'd be great it if it was under $500.00

Why does the KTM Super Enduro Exhaust from Leo V fit so poorly?

(I know I should ask you guys directly and I did, but since you asked so nicely I figured I would ask again )

Your product is excellent. I just put a slip-on system on my '07 Suzuki Bandit 1250S. It sounds awesome with the baffle out but I kept it in since on the long haul the noise became too much for my ears. The fit an finish are top notch and the centerstand bump was a nice touch. My one complaint was the can strap was a bear to get clamped down with the provided bolt which was 5mm too short IMO. Trip to the hardware store solved that.

Thanks for offering to definitively answer questions. I am soon to get a 2007 KTM Adventure 990 and will be interested at some point in aftermarket exhausts - pretty much only to save weight. I do not care about extra bhp's or db's.

1) Does the bike need a re-map or will the ECU adjust itself?
2) Assuming similar driving habits, will miles-per-gallon be similar to stock cans? I ask because several forum members have said that the Akrapovic map decimated their fuel range.

Please explain in more detail your concerns. I am not familar with that application having any challenges.

Pipes not parallel (sit at different positions) hangers have 1/2" gap that allows the cans to flop around inside them. Other than that I love em.

I mitigated both issues by using some 1/2" neoprene on top of one side to force it down and on the bottom of the other side to force it up. This aligns them a little better and prevents the flopping of the cans.

When I sent an email enquiring about a solution to this I was sent an image saying it was KTM's fault. No comment regarding the poorly fitting hanger was provided.

I may have a installation issue but I took it all off and reinstalled it trying to get it aligned better to no avail. Now I just ride lopsided and I know this is costing me at least 10hp.

1) No remapping is needed with any application for Leo Vince mufflers and exhuast. One of the benfits of all our products is increased performance without rejetting (although you can improve performance with re-jetting)
2) Miles per galon should be pretty close to stock. I've no reports that say otherwise. If a rider is like me, it's hard not to gas it harder with the improved exhuast tone and torque-so mileage has decreased on my DL-650.

Have a KTM dealer look at it or please forward the images to randy@leovinceusa.com . We have a 12 month warranty on workmanship and materials.
Why do you feel that you are loosing 10hp? Is there an issue with an exhuast leak?

Like others here...I'm interested in potential applications that don't appear to be currently available. In my case that would be a Honda XR650L. I see a lot of similar applications but nothing for the XRL. Are there any plans to expand the Enduro line that direction?
