I'm not a 990 owner, but am from BC, and use the same insurance providers for my DL1000.

    Seems about right to me.

I think my ICBC portion was $950+ for the year and my Private portion though Chutter full coverage was about $550.

Not sure why mine is much more than yours as of right now I have a perfectly clear abstract and am roughly in the same age group but closer to 40.

My private portion went up $60 from the year prior.

Hope that helps you feel better cause I need a shower I feel violated :eek1

I'm in Vancouver area with my 950 SM-R and my rate is a it higher, however I do buck up a bit for more comprehensive than standard.
I understand that ICBC charges higher for vehicles in the Vancouver/Victoria areas versus outside... so you are doing OK.

6 months icbc + 12 months private (including storage, replacement, etc) = $960 per year.

    Absolute rip off.

I currently pay $ 750 for everything collision & com, for a full 12 months on my DL650 in Alberta. I paid just about the same for my 2008 HD Softail which was a much more expensive bike. Age 60 + ( god where has time flown ).

I moved from Sask in 2010 and on my BMW it was closer to $ 1100 a year for the provincial portion and then you had private insurance to lower the deductible. The rates have gone up since then. I've always found that the provinces with their own insurance are much more expensive even if you have a good driving record and are a mature rider.

I voluntarily pay about $500/year for full coverage. I say voluntary because in Washington you're not required to carry any insurance at all. You guys are getting hosed.

I spend a lot of time driving, riding and shopping in Washington. Randy's Offroad are the guys that have $5000 of my money that was spent on a 2012 Tacoma. Great shop and much better prices than up here.

I have an insurance question about Washington ...... what happens when one of those uninsured yokels plow into you? Your insurance foots the bill for repairs and medical aid? I would suppose you could go after the yokel but if they can't afford insurance I doubt there is much to go after.

$2318 full coverage $200 deductible $1m liability in Manitoba.

My 30 year old Goldwing is about $1400.

As an extra special "feature" that's pro-rated for a 5-month riding season that ends in October, so you don't get any savings by de-plating the bike in the winter.
